A great and reliable battery charger for your RC hobbies that need to have a recharge to keep the fun going.

I bought this to charge multicopter batteries. It works very well, but I would suggest a few accessories. If you have many of the came cell number batteries, get a splitter. It also doesn't include a power supply so you'll have to figure out your own. I didn't feel like dropping the bucks for a dedicated power supply, so I attached it to a deep cycle battery that is charged by a battery maintainer. It gives me the benefit of being able to charge out in the field. Also, it only includes XT60 plugs and some alligator clips, so definitely get one of those big octopus charging adapters.The functions are very useful. Definitely download the free software to operate the thing, it allows you to set charge limits and other things.Complaints: The fan is loud loud loud loud. It's a common problem among small cheap computer type fans. If it bothers you, you can buy another one and change it out. Fortunately, it only comes on when discharging. Cords are lacking, you may need to cut one of the included cords and splice on some other connector. I put on ring terminals to attach to the deep cycle battery.

It has easy to use buttons with an easily readable display to tell what your settings are and it also has an alarm that sounds when your charge is complete. I also love that it allows you to charge 1-6S batteries and it has safety settings that you can manually set (such as time limit, temp cutoff, overcharging protecting, storage charge, input voltage monitoring, etc.)Pros: 1-6S capabilities, Tons of safety features, Good display, 4 Button charger, Easy setup/charging, real time status updates while charging (check individual cells voltage)Cons: Price point is a little higher than some others out there, NO POWER BRICK INCLUDED (YOU MUST PURCHASE OR HAVE ANOTHER 11-17v POWER SOURCE AVAILABLE; I used a laptop power brick and modified the connector)

While I just got this charger, it seems to function very well, and performs as it should. You will need a power supply for it, and if you dont have a power supply that uses banana clips for output, you will have to splice some wires to get one that works. I had an extra 13.8 volt 19 amp supply laying around that works great with this. You can also modify a computer power supply to work with this charge. The menu made sense to me, and I was able to get it work without any issues...I suggest researching this before you buy as most complaints I have read are the power supply issue (needing a separate one as this wont just plug in to the wall) and the connectors not being what they needed. To hook this up to my parallel charger for example, I needed to splice a cable.

I purchased a Turnigy 5.0 LiPO battery and this charger to charge it. The charger offered no cable ends that would directly connect to this battery output for a balanced charge. You could use the clips to attach it but then none of the cords will connect to the 11-16 VDC source to power the unit. Once I spliced the end of the one of the supplied cables and attached two clips, I could use the charger as intended to charge not only the battery but LiFePO4 batteries as well as this charger has all the voltage and current levels to charge a variety of cells.

This charger is great! I used an old PC power supply to make a 15A 12V power supply for it, and its worked perfectly!! With an aftermarket charging plate, I can charge 3 3000mAh 3S LiPo's in a little over an hour and a half. I'm usually a little conservative on the charge rate, especially if I'm at home and not in a hurry, but that's more to preserve battery life than because the charger can't handle it. I like that I can connect it to a PC and control and monitor charging through the ChageMaster 2 software, but the software does occasionally crash. When it crashes, the charger will continue to charge and can be monitored on the LCD, but if you restart the software it will stop.

I wish I could give it five stars but I can’t, I can’t do that for an item that I had to repair which normally I would not do but I needed it today which is why I purchased it with next day delivery. The screen was not working it wasn’t bright enough to see it without using a lighted magnifier and because I needed it now I opened it up found several bad solder connections, as for the screen the LED light for it wasn’t connected. Other than having to repair the problem is it’s definitely better quality then my IMAX B6 heat distribution built-in fan everything needed which is why I wish I could give it 5 stars So be careful unless you have a background in electronics or can make repairs I would not recommend

Very easy to use product simple 4 button layout and a user guide that makes the steps to setting it up easy.
