Q: Do you need scissors or can you tear it by hand?

Never tried tearing it. Scissors work good .

Q: Is this good for binding broken toe to the next one?

Because it is relatively thin I expect that toes could be bound if recommended by a medical professional. The only problem I would foresee is removing it since it sticks quite tight and might have to be pulled hard enough to cause fracture site pain.

Q: Does this tape leave a sticky residue when removed?

No....it works really well on the fingers.

Q: Anyone use this for taping Big Toe?

I use it for my finger (around joint) when playing golf. Stays in place even when sweating. Most likely will work the same on a toe. It’s good tape.
