Super simple to use, coded my F13 M6 and F15 X5. Something went wrong with one of the writes, but the app stored a backup and I was able to restore to original settings without any issues or stress. Must have, worth every penny.

I really like this product. A lot. Webby just for stars then? Misleading advertisement for related services. The app claims by paying a little extra, you gain access to all vehicles makes, so i paid the extra amount on three yearly subscription. You then find out when they say it works on all vehicles, they mean you can scan all vehicles for problems, but can only actually change coding on a very few models. I had hoped to remove the speed limiter on my 07 Tahoe, but Chevrolet is one of the makes you can only scan for issues, not change anything. Luckily the car i actually bought this to make changes on is compatible, so it wasn't a wasted purchase. With that said, if you have a vehicle the full app works on this tool is amazing. I was able to program my Z4 convertible top to go down via the key fob, as well as set personalized lighting options, including a custom display for the brake lights based on how hard im braking (it changed based on braking pressure). Too many other options to remember and list, but was also able to set my passenger side window to auto-up. Anyone with a BMW will understand that frustration.

I bought into this app and company years ago to do programming and general service on my BMW. IIRC, at the time it was a one time $50 charge for the app and bought the Bluetooth and corded OBDII connectors. worked great, loved it. then it went to subscription model, i wrote an email and they sent me a code to enter, i now have a lifetime subscription (only for BMWs). great. then they obsoleted my obdII hardware that worked great, $80 for the new unit... i refused to buy it until my dad wanted to do the rear brakes on his Audi S4 B8.5. checked the website and it claims it can do the Audi parking brake reset, so i bite the bullet and order it. plugged it in and it connected, but the app says it's not compatible with the car when i hit the brake reset button. Note, i did not buy the full Audi subscription, all other features told me i needed it, but the brake reset specifically said it was not compatible. I don't know why i ordered the new bluetooth unit to begin with, i had a perfectly good and functional BMW diagnostic system before Carly "upgraded it" and the upgrade cost as much as the original. companies like this need to go out of business.

Be aware that after buying this, you also have to pay a yearly subscription fee of something like $70 to receive full access to the app! I really only wanted this to program the mirrors on my BMW 650 to fold in when locking the car. There are a good amount of other interesting things you can program to your car, but nothing I found very useful. It would be very helpful if they added full descriptions of what each program does for your car instead of installing something, looking around to see if anything has changed, and then uninstalling the program because you have no idea what you just changed. You can run a full diagnostics check on your car through the Carly app, which may come in handy down the road.

I've been using Carly for years using the old White adapter, then one day Carly decided to update the whole app and make a new adapter more expensive than the last one.... so i buy the new adapter, plug it in, and it won't pair via Bluetooth, and that's the first step BEFORE trying to connect to the app, so i logged on here to read reviews and now my hopes are dropping, other folks having similar connection issues. Not looking good. Carly really screwed us over. Update: Replacement came in today, got it working. This adapter works WITHOUT pairing to the device first, Just go straight to the app, then the app will connect. The replacement worked, however my first one did not work after attempting to pair it several different ways. 3 stars for inconsistent quality and because Carly made a part obselete that worked perfectly fine. I NEVER had an issue with my old carly adapter on the old app which is now completely disabled.

You will still need to buy the app but totally worth it!!! I have a 2007 BMW 328i. I put LED headlights, interior, and license plate lights and kept getting warnings of my lights being out and temperature warnings. This allowed me to not only turn all my warnings and bulb checks off. But the list of things I could do was long!! One setting that was turned off when I got the car was holding the lock button after you exit the car to close the windows when you notice you left one open. Holding the lock button was supposed to close all windows just as holding the unlock already opened all windows so I was able to reactivate that setting VERY HAPPY!! Accidentally locked my keys in my car while running in the drive way, MY FAULT I had changed a setting but wedged and airbaged the door to get in and reversed that feature.

I needed to change my battery in my 2011 328i xdrive and needed to register the battery. Wish I would have just had it done professionally. It was a waste of money for my needs. No tech support what so ever for bluetooth connectivity problem and I paid for subscription. Didn't think it would need home wifi to work so if you live in a building and not a house,"good luck with wifi connection". Just wasn'tvworth it for me.
