I noticed the sponge pads that are held by Velcro on the inside...can those be removed and washed?

They can be washed, but I would not be taking them out daily. They are important to leeping the helmet tight.

Is the inside of this helmet soft? My 4 year old daughter has cancer and I need something soft on her bald head. Thanks!

It’s not very soft inside. We got this for our 4 year old daughter and it does not stay on. We’ve tried everything to tighten the straps but it always gets loose and starts falling off her head making it sort of useless. I’d recommend looking at a different helmet! I was bummed because it’s so cute. Hope that helps!
