CRL Sealstrip Glass Setting Tape - 1/32" Thickness - Roll

I used this to replace the glass on a 1968 442. I folded it over the glass, and once the glass was in place, I trimmed it with a razor blade. Great product!

I ended buying this out of desperation to try and get some old Jeep windshields to fit. They wouldn't work with the "correct" rubber seal and I had spent a lot of time and effort on it. A website had recommended using glass setting tape. I hadn't heard of it before but gave it a shot. It did the trick. Pros are the amount you get and that you can buy it in different thicknesses. I am set for years with this. Only Con I had was that as I slid the windshield into the frame it had a tendency to bunch. A bit of lube in the groove helped but it took me a couple of attempts and even then I have one area where it has bunched up. But with the amount you get it isn't a problem to try again. Watch out for corners of the glass as it can tear there. The seal appears watertight and if you are careful it can look good too. It is slightly sticky to hold to the glass but not quite sticky enough to stay in place when wrapped around the edge. It worked for my purpose and the quantity you get with this item makes it good value.
