I would not call them compression shorts. I am wearing my unpadded compression shorts under them. They are elasticated and a good fit just not compression.The padding however is exactly what I need for playing hockey. I've been wearing for 3 months and did hear a snap of cotton the other day, when I pulled them on. It is one of the padded area. Nothing a bit of stiching will not fix.While not perfect I would recommend.

This has been a surprisingly good buy. Son is a goalkeeper and we've been buying quite expensive brand name GK trousers to protects his knees/hips.... however, he has been tearing holes in the knees letting the stuffing out after only 6-8 weeks usage on astro pitches (as they're very abrasive on this kind of kit). Basically, was buying two sets a season and even then about half of each season he had no padding in one knee.Bought these as rather than "1 big pad" which can rip and so all the stuffing comes out.... these are divided into lots of small hexes, so perhaps ripping one and losing stuffing in one would not be so bad. They were also a fair chunk cheaper than the brand name.However, has had these for a whole season now (minus the first 4 weeks) and...... no ripping anywhere.... no padding lost.... has remained entirely intact and almost look brand new. The pads are also a bit thcker and more protective AND a bit more flexible (due to the multiple small hexes rather than 1 big pad). Will be going into a 2nd season with him next year.For a "cheap option" they've ben amazing, in all respects better than the branded kit we were buying and seemingly a LOT more durable. 10/10 would absolutely buy again.

Good for a couple of uses, very flimsy stitching comes away on pads very easy.

This item is great for extreme sports and to protect you.When I bought this I tested it to the max and in all honestly it protects my knees and hips perfectly it’s also a great fit tooHighly recommend it

I am happy with the quality of these GK pants , I use them on 4g and up to now I've had no problems .I got a medium and I am athletic shape , these are a little bit baggy on my legs. I may try a small next and see if they help with the fit .
