Perfect for reading in the garden
Very firm to begin with. Softened after several uses. Great to be able to adjust the height. I have been using it so I can read comfortably whilst laying in the shade in the garden. I just put it on a picnic blanket, so that it doesn't get damp. I also use it to watch TV indoors when I am in need of a posture check.
