Forum Novelties Pea Pod Costume, Green, Adult Standard, for Halloween or theme party

this is a good costume, and garners a lot of compliments. it is somewhat hot b/c of it being all polyester, and of course, i was dancing a lot at the party i went to. i would say that the part around the face is a bit baggy and the hood will fall off sometimes if you are moving vigorously (again, the dancing). it also gaps a bit on the sides where the peas are, but all in all, great buy and not too many complaints for the price and cute factor.

Every year my gardening group walks in our city's 4th of July parade. We've had people dress as carrots, lemons, and an ear of corn. This past year I dressed as a pea pod and the costume was quite a hit. It's just two pieces. You put the piece with the light green peas on first, fitting it around your face. Then you step into the dark green pod and pull the dark green "hood" up over your head. I had to pin the pieces in place or else they slipped with movement.It's polyester so I did get hot over the course of a warm summer day. But I wore a thin green Tshirt and running shorts underneath and I was fine. Also the material is stretchy so walking 3+ miles was not a problem.People were definitely drawn to me. Little kids laughed and waved and took pictures. Adults felt compelled to pat my peas and make pregnancy jokes which was...interesting. I liked the costume a lot. It saved me so much time - I could not have made a better costume for less money. Served the purpose I needed it for so it worked out great!

This costume was amazing and me and my cousin. Won first place in. The sotume contest!!!

Pretty good costume, fun one to have in the closet. Doesn't come with tights or green shirt... had a little trouble keeping my peas tucked in but the price was right and we'll be able to get a lot of use of this over the years.

This is ADORABLE! It is very easy to get into, comes in two pieces: the pea "tuxedo" vest that goes from the top of the head to below the waist, and the pod, which you step into.It is made of a knit that doesn't wrinkle as badly as some costumes that are made out of cheap cotton.

Really cute, well made and a great value. You will need a green turtleneck and green tights-not included. I was able to find them inexpensively here on Amazon.My husband was the Jolly Green Giant and we won best costume at a party.

Needed a fun, bright costume and this fit the bill. I wore it for crosswalk duty on Halloween and the kids loved it. A bit bulky if you have to bend and move a lot. Will be able to use again and again and it folds nicely for storage. My only issue was more with me than the costume. As my head is rather small (I have to wear kid sized helmets, hats, etc) the hood wanted to flop everywhere or slip down over my eyes. I had to fuss with it quite a bit to get it to stay in place.

The costume is cute, but was a little small. Even though it had velcro in the top part, it did not stay together as in the picture. It's a good concept, but not well executed.
