With 2 hacks - THE best hair product ever
If you read the reviews like most here, you have a good idea of the pros & cons of Reuzel Pink. I echo the general consensus - personally this stuff is my favorite hair product ever. I’ve tried at least 30 different products, of different types (clays, creams, pomades, fibers) from various manufacturers over the years - none of them touch Reuzel Pink. However, the two consistent knocks I read is that Reuzel Pink is a pain to wash out of your hair and off your hands - They are not wrong.I keep medium length hair that is fairly thick and wavy at about 6 inches on the top. I need control with some pliability, something that doesn’t dry out or cause flakes, the ability to re-style, smells good, and gives a look of healthy hair. Reuzel Pink is perfect for all of this. And I love this product so much that I dove in to how to make it more livable, meaning how the hell do I easily get this stuff off my hands and out of my hair when I need to?So, about those hacks to work around these cons...To wash this stuff off your hands, use a mechanics soap like Fast Orange Hand Soap. It seems excessive to have to buy a different soap just to wash hair product off your hands, but these kinds of orange pumice soaps are great in general. Chances are, if you work on cars you’re already familiar with soaps like these. This kind of soap smells great and easily gets Reuzel Pink product off your hands because it’s meant to eliminate grease and oil.As far as easily washing this out of your hair, Reuzel themselves have addressed this. If you search Reuzel Degrease Formula, you’ll find their instructions. Their daily hair conditioner on its own is a great conditioner. The peculiar thing here is that Reuzel instructs you to first apply the conditioner to DRY hair for a few minutes, then rinse it out. Next, Reuzel has a green scrubbing shampoo and a daily shampoo they recommend you use to finish this routine, in that order. I’ve done this and I like those products as well - but I think the key is applying the Reuzel conditioner to dry hair, before shampooing. I don’t always use the green scrubbing shampoo, as the daily shampoo seems sufficient. I also haven’t tried this with other conditioners, but I have used other shampoos with similar success. For me, this makes the Reuzel conditioner a must have, and the Reuzel shampoos as “nice-to-haves.” I don’t ever let myself get down to my last bottle of this conditioner before reordering. So those are workarounds for the only two cons I consistently see regarding this product. Yes, it takes more effort, but I’ve had both men and women stop me to ask what product I use. I’ve never had that happen wearing anything besides Reuzel Pink. I believe that kind of recognition speaks for itself. Hope this helps someone enjoy this stuff.

You'll need some practice if your not a pro
I needed a product to keep my hair at bay, I don't have curly hair or anything like that but every product I've used before never held my hair as long as I wanted it to. When I finally had enough I started researching for the best product on the market and time and time again this company always popped up. Looking into other reviews they had a pretty loyal fan base that stands by this product. I decided it was worth a shot so I ordered a can and when i finally received it I immediately tried using it. Initially I thought it was way too hard and greasy to use for my hair but after a few minutes of struggle I managed to get it on. Im not gonna lie it will take some time getting used to but the more u practice using this product to what you want from your hair , the better you'll be at using it to its fullest potential. Now I can style my hair the way I want it in under 5 minutes without losing quality. In terms of how long it lasts I was expecting it to last a bit longer than it does but it may just be the humid weather in NY now since it spring but on average it barely gets me through the school day(8 hours) without needing to re comb or reapply more pomade. Moral of the story is if you need something to hold your hair for a good amount of the day, try this product and if your not fully convinced on the first try, give yourself a couple chances to figure out how to use this product to fit YOUR OWN needs/wants.

Smells amazing, zero hold. At all. In any way whatsoever.
Right out of the box and I couldn’t wait to review it. First impressions are as follows: it smells effin o-mazing. I’ve seen people say “bubblegum” in the reviews but I’ve never chewed bubblegum that smells like roses so I can’t agree with that. It has a very rose-like quality but somehow still a very masculine scent. I can’t put my finger on it exactly. Maybe like roses mixed with a fog machine. Anyway, I have also seen a whole lot of complaints about “ermegherd I can’t wash it off my hands it took like eleventy thousand minutes to wash off” well that’s probably because you’re a special kind of dumb or you have shitty soap ok. Also getting it out of the can and into my hair was not nearly as challenging as I’ve read. I simply scraped a bit out with the back of my fingernail and then emulsified in my hand, duh, then rubbed it in my towel dried/damp hair. No biggie. Also it wipes right off on a hand towel or whatever you use for shaving which is what I used. I combed it in with the wide side of the comb, blow dried, and voila. I think it’s great on all counts so far. Trial period to see how it treats my scalp over time. That’s the kicker for me. Everything breaks my head out eventually except for shu uemura products, but they are very expensive and they also discontinued my two favorite products so that’s why I began my search for a tried and true alternative. I’m 100% impressed so far. I’ve avoided this stuff since I started training my hair for this style due to the petro base but there is really no data to support the idea that it’s bad for your hair or scalp or whatever aside from, yes, if you don’t wash well it could build up and possibly cause some blocked follicle issues, allegedly. I’m happy for now. I was happy with O’Douds multi purpose too until it started leaving flakes in my hair that look like dandruff. Hence the need to investigate some other products. Thanks for reading. Blessings on your journey.Edit: I have been using this for several days now.Pros: all of the above is still true. And this product relieved the itchy scalp and flakes from the O’Douds product, but...Con: zero hold. I’m talking zero. Like none. At all. In any way. Wish it had better hold bc I like everything else about it. Sighhh and on to the next
