Heavy weight
Really did not work well. They're decent weight but did not feel sturdy and did not do well for what I needed for canvases. I ended up donating them rather than dealing with a return. The only positive I could say if they're of a really solid/heavy weight.

Excellent quality and craftsmanship
These are well made, work as described and will last a long time

These are indestructible!
After having issues with bigger named pliers breaking, usually due to the spring in the center I am happy to announce these shall work forever. They might not be the prettiest pair of pliers, but goodness, they will last forever

Good and solid
Very sturdy but stiff. Being stiff in my case was good. I could get a good grip then let go and the pliers would hang while I reached for my drill and screw gun. I could then pull tight and use the tools one handed. Worked well for me.

You get what you pay for
I have been using these pliers for approximately 2 months and though they did the job (until a few days ago) they were never great. The pliers themself have super sharp jagged edges from where the metal was cast that were never filed down or polished for the end-user. These points would jab and snag on your skin and even draw blood if you weren't careful enough. Even these pitfalls I seemed to navigate while still using them somewhat effectively until the day I went to pull a side of my canvas tight and one of the pieces just cracked in half. And let me remind you this is after 2 months of moderate usage by only me. I would save your money and invest in something of higher quality.

Strong but needs better deburring
Cast iron or steel construction, very heavy duty, should last forever. However, the inside of the handles are not deburred adequately, relatively sharp and will get irritating quickly. Also there's a sharp pinch point that could take bit out of you if careless. I'll spend a minute with a grinder to round the edges but shouldn't really need to. If you don't might a bit of DIY to clean them up you'll never worry about breaking them.Better options? Probably, but for my project not worth the effort to return and try something else. Wishing for the good old days when you could go to a store and actually get hands on before buying.

Works great
I used it to stretched old painted canvas. Was my first time experience, but after watching several youtube videos, it works like charm. Better yet, it doubles as a small hammer, usefull to set some loose staples. And, unlike other reviews, my tool is not rough at all.
