We have been making some changes at home after reading a statement that said"we don't need a few people to do zero waste perfectly, we need loads of people to do it imperfectly"So I thought that I can do, I've been looking at what waste we make, plastic is a bit one in our home as we all shower daily for school, work and between us go to the gym several times, play rugby, football, have swimming and aqua fit all requiring additional showering.So we traded the shower gel, much to the disappointment of the teens, for an exfoliating bag and a personal bar of soap.The first few days nobody wanted this change but I'd hidden all the shower gel so they had no choice.Our first problem was mixing up bags.Each one has a wooden bead. So I let them choose a colour and coloured their wooden bead with a sharpie pen so we can easily identify who has what bag.I've got to say week two and my skin is actually loads softer as this exfoliates as it cleans something my my normal shower puff thing didn't do.At the moment we're just using regular soap although we are looking to move to a more environmentally friendly one.I estimate that we'll be using about 100 less plastic bottles per year.A saving not only to the environment but to our wallets too.Soap is cheap and while these bags seem expensive you get 10, each one will last a year or two and can be placed in the washing machine with laundry to refresh it.Definitely glad to have made this small change. An investment that keeps on giving.

Trying, as many are, to be more eco-friendly and found a great shampoo bar to replace those pesky plastic bottles...but how to store it? I hate soap dishes, something else to clean! Also a bar of soap sitting in mush doesn't make me want to use it either! But stick it in one of these and not only can you wet it and use it in the bag but you can just hang it up after you rinse and it dries off! No scum! No mushy soap! No horrid smells! Helps get a nice foam from the soap without much effort. Also, put bath soap in it and it exfoliates as you use it! Can't recommend them enough. You can undo the knot and pop on a coloured bead and tie it back up and have a different colour for shampoo bar/normal soap or for different people. Or maybe sew on the initial of the user on it with some coloured cotton? Once it falls apart (used mine a few months and good so far) you can throw it into the compost bin instead of the rubbish!

I have been meaning to get around to making my own little "baggies" for my bar soap in the shower and only got as far as using a nylon net bag intended to do away with the need for plastic veg/produce bags in the supermarket. Obviously this was huge and I was going to cut it down and make it in to 4 little baggies, but guess what, I never got around to it.I thought I would try these as they looked like good value for so many of them. (And it saved me faffing about on the sewing machine).They are indeed ideal for my large bars of french milled soap or any other soaps really. Because they come in a pack of 10 you can use them for a few days then chuck them in with the regular laundry and use a another one.Also you could be very hippy and green and use old soap bits in one to wash dishes because they certainly give your skin a good scouring ( we are not talking shredded skin lol) I found my skin is very smooth after just a week or two ( as long as you are generous with the body lotion afterwards of course.I deducted 1 star because when they arrive they STINK!!!!!! (It's normal but- urgh!) So I soaked mine in a strong soloution of fabric softener overnight and threw them in the washing machine and they hardly smell at all now.Not sure how long they will last of course, time will tell, but being natural they will compost which can only be a good thing right?

Great product and fantastic value for money.It is great to move away from the plastic bag equivalent and use a natural product that I am hoping has less impact on the environment.The bags are fantastic quality and last an excellent amount of time.

At first I was looking for a normal soap dish because the one I got in the shop was actually too big for my bathroom shelf. And then I noticed these little bags! I didn't even know they existed and I'm so glad I found them!Not only did I solve my shelf-space-saving problem, but they also exfoliate my skin! They work like a charm and to be fair I don't really need 10 but I was either getting 10 for £7 or 4 for 6£ so no brainer, and I have some spares that will last me for years.The only downside is that when it dries, it's quite hard and it really sticks to the soap. You have to wet it thoroughly before using it, or it will be too harsh on your skin. So you might actually be wasting a few extra seconds in each shower.

I love that these are made feom loufa.Sadly I think they are a little too soft for washing up - maybe have one side made of burlap or something for scrubbing?3 stars as I dont think they will last longer than 3 weeks and a little too soft for scrubbing anything.But I will find a use for them still :)

I really enjoy using the occasional bar of soap when I shower and I thought of purchasing these soap bags. They are great, they are made from natural products and when using the soap the bags lather very well, so plenty of foam and also they exfoliate and it leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft.They are easy to store and easy to wash and you just hang them to dry. Lovely soap bags, highly recommend.

Overall really good, a little scratchy but softens up quite quickly. Handy for all those little bits of soap. Perfect for little gift boxes with a nice soap
