My dogs absolutely love these. They gobble them up so quickly. They are a great high value treat. I wouldn’t use them for training unless you are working on a big training skill or something that has been earned. They can break into smaller pieces if you would like to use them for training. They smell like freeze fried chicken hearts, but are definitely not as bad as other natural treats I’ve ever purchased for my pups/dogs. There’s limited ingredients and I trust this brand as I have been giving these treats to my older dog for over 4 years now. It has never caused them to have an upset stomach, or to be gassy or sick. The only downside to these is that they are quite expensive and my dogs can go through them fast. I know they are expensive because they are quality and made by a reputable brand that I trust, but I prefer to wait until they are on sale to purchase them. I truly believe every 2 cat household has one treat-guzzling garbage disposal who will eat anything, and one cat who is super picky. I'm happy to report that these treats are beloved by both of my feline friends. My picky girl has dental disease which makes it difficult for her to chew many treats, but she does just fine with these if I cut them into smaller pieces with kitchen scissors. The treats vary in size, but most are around the size of a walnut. As a pet mom, I am thrilled with the high nutrional value of these treats. I appreciate that they are single-ingredient and promote healthy, clean eating for my fur babies. I do not notice a strong odor as others have mentioned. What I do notice, is if you tear them apart with your fingers, you will be left with a little oily residue on them, but that is to be expected given what they are made of. My dog has pancreatitis and cannot eat processed treats. After a conversation with the vet it was agreed that these would be okay to give him since there are no added ingredients. He absolutely love them!! They are a bit pricey but so much less expensive than a trip to the vet. I didn’t give five stars because I have found that the beef hearts and the lamb hearts contain a lot of fatty pieces and I end up throwing out half of the bag. The chicken breast treats do not have this issue so these are usually my go to. I highly recommend these for any dog with digestive issues.
