Yokohama AVID ASCEND GT Touring Radial Tire-205/50R17 93V

I made the mistake of putting the cheapest tires I could find on my 2013 Chevy Volt, the last time they needed replacing. Huge mistake. They couldn't keep up with the car, and I was skidding at green lights constantly, and hydroplaning whenever it rained. After doing some research, I decided to get these Avid Ascend GTs to replace them. These are excellent all-season tires. The tires grip very well, and I can launch the Volt again at green lights without issue. They've also worked very well in rain, with no hydroplaning. They're pretty quiet too, but not silent. Really glad I bought these. They drive great, and brought back the driving dynamics that make the car so fun (the car feels planted and sporty again). It felt a little weird putting Japanese tires on a car made in Detroit, but Yokohamas have a good reputation and warranty, and they're an excellent value. It also felt strange ordering tires through Amazon, but that process was simple too. I got to pick a local mechanic that Amazon shipped the tires to for the tire install, and everything went smoothly, with no delays.

I am completely satisfied with these tires. When I buy stuff, I like to do my research in several different ways. It usually takes me some time before making my choice. I read reviews, watch videos, and read the comments in the videos. So I narrowed it down to these and another popular brand. These had such a good price, so I went with them. Im so glad I did because, boy do they grip. No problem on dry or wet surfaces. It’s been raining and I get on the pedal with no slip. I’m turning hard on dry roads and they perform great. I put this set on the wife’s car and I usually purchase more expensive brands like Michelin. I’m satisfied with these and I saved a lot of money. I would definitely buy them again.

I am extremely happy with my purchase. The first set I ordered the wrong size which was completely my fault. They accepted the return after they were delivered already. I ordered the right size and scheduled service through Amazon with Mavis tires. The experience was great and a great price. After they serviced my car it was driving so smooth almost like it was floating. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I haven’t had them on my car for very long so I don’t know about longevity. However they do ride smooth and are very quiet. I have my own tire changer and Hunter tire balancer at my home garage so I installed them myself. These tires are truely round and took very little weight to balance them and road force variation was minimal. If I get adequate mileage out of them I will definitely buy them again.

This is the second set of these I've bought from Amazon. The first set went almost 70,000(!!) miles before they needed to be changed and they still probably had 5k miles in them. Really for the price they're great tires! Awesome in rain, pretty good in snow and sleet. They grip really well and are quiet enough for me. The only gripe I have is they "squirm" a bit on grooved highways. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Also, they take a good 500 miles to really break in. They're a little slick the first 500, but after that they start gripping much better. Fuel mileage is better than oem tires. Good buy!

It’s ok fine

These are great tires 225/50/17, on a '14 Forester XT. So far they have been great at almost 6 months of use. Great in the rain, good on road noise. Decent grip, thread life looks like it would last a good while.

They are the GREATEST tires I’ve ever bought for my car. As soon as they were installed I immediately felt a difference in the way my car drove and even how much easier it is to turn. It’s like it loosens your steering wheel for easier handle of your car. I barely feel bumps when hitting a bump and they help my car stop way sooner and faster than ever before. Great buy! Will be buying again! No slipping in the raining weather either. I’m completely happy with this purchase
