Very good product. I was surprised. Very good nutty wood smoke. Very distinct full on a 5 hour smoke. Decent size chunks. Make sure to wet them after a good fire to make tons of smoke to bring out the flavor. Purchased another box to see the consistency of the product. Very please with first purchase

This is to enhance the flavor of charcoal. This would be used up fast if it were used alone. I soak pcs in water before using to get the most smoking.

check the pieces before smoking with them. Some pieces were punk, and completely useless. Was O thrilled? Meh...

A lot of companies have different opinions of what large chunks are. These are great. Will smoke for a long time. I’d say 2x4 in size. Can’t wait to use for my pizza oven! Will be buying again immediately now I’ve seen what they look like

I found these chunks to be very "light" almost hollow, as if they had been bored by termites. It didn't look they had been, but they just don't feel as solid as I would expect. I've only used on one short cook and one long cook, and they seemed to burn OK, but again maybe too fast for a chunk, going back to the lack of density. Right now it's the only option I have for fruit wood chunk in my location. I'll finish the box and see if they change my mind, but not sure I'll buy it again just yet.

This IS exactly what I wood expect when I buy Cherry wood chips. These are nice large kiln dried chunks of cherry tree in a large box.. absolute beauty. WARNING: If you read 'Cherry Flavored Wood" on a product, it is NOT Cherry, but a bi-product of assorted wood chips and artificial cherry scent. Don't risk it. I'm using a propane vertical smoker and I set my temp to where the wood does not yet catch fire and produce carbon monoxide, but breaks down and smokes releasing the flavor goodness. So, I am very fussy about the wood I use and this wood is exactly what I need. Cherry is a light fruitwood among the gentlest flavors of smoked food, perfect for chicken or turkey. It was delivered 10min ago, and it is in the smoker now, heating. If you were here to see and smell it, you wood be sold. I wood recomend this product to anyone serious about smoking perfection.

Burned clean and hot, produced some really nice smoke. Box came with a good number of fair sized chunks, but sizing wasn't consistent. A good majority of the box would be good for a propane grill smoker box or pizza oven, I need more of that bigger stuff! Would order again.
