Soaks up too much monomer.
It clearly warns to not dip into monomer past the crimp. So i went out my way to only dip the very bottom in and like stated in other reviews (that I somehow ignored prob due to the price)- the bristles still would suck up more monomer. Equivalent to a sponge if you need a metaphor. Even though only one portion was submerged, almost all of it would be wet/soaked. So when you go to insert the brush in the powder, the liquid falls down and the picks up the biggest chunk regardless if you only needed a small ball of acrylic. The bristles also in return soak up a little powder in exchange so they start to harden and you have to thoroughly clean after you finish like a separate project of its own. I've had other brushes even in this price range than you simply use monomer a few times to cleanse and youre good. Honestly the brush that comes with your local pharmacy's Kiss acrylic kit is better than this- just horrible monomer and primer. Lol. Pros and cons! I learned my lesson. The chances of a brush under $15 giving you issues is high. (Bought a size 6.)EDIT: **I WANT TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST PPL TO ACTUALLY ADMIT THAT I DID NOT PROPERLY BREAK IN THE BRUSH PRIOR TO USING IT THOUGH. That, on TOP of it being cheap quality equals disaster. YouTube how to break in & clear the cornstarch before using all brushes! No, you cant just clean with monomer and use it- if you expect it to last.

Proper care will make it last!!!
I'm new to acrylics and just got my brush today. I did 5 nails on a cheap practice hand (How do I get the darned nails off this thing?) and loved everything about this brush! I think anyone who may have a negative comment about this brush either has not properly prepped it, kept it clean during application, or used an improper application technique. Now, I need to find a good #6, flat gel application brush with a cap.

Good quality
Very nice quality. I own other kolinsky brushes and i really like this one the best. I glued the cap on because it kept falling off but besides that its fine

Not Original but still good
Not Original, i am a professional nail technician and i have lots of brushes, i have used brushes of all kinds and size, this one right is is absolutely not real, the quality is ok not that bad for practice or home use but absolutely not for professionals use. I would buy this for work but i will buy it if inwas practicing.

Good brush
I like the #8 brush only down fall is that the cap doesn't stay on the end to be a long brush stick but I can still use it as a small brush stick. I also have a size 10 brush. Tge #10 got a lot of monomer & acrylic powder in it so it is bulky now but I'm trying to fix it and use it again. I will be buying more soon. They have Good quality and are very compact. Easy to put away.
