Osmo Polyx-Oil, 3031 Clear Matte - .750 Liter

I'm only a hobbyist but this certainly feels like a professional product. Very forgiving in its application as well. I was put onto it by Paul Sellers. It was a pleasure finishing with this stuff.For reference as to how much you get, with the 0.125L can, I was able to apply one coat to a 4' x 3' desk top and frame, just barely. The small can is just not cost effective at all so go with the bigger size if you're unsure. It should last for about 5 decently sized projects.The smell this finish leaves is strong, but less so than other finishes, and actually leaves behind a very pleasant smell once it cures.Visually, it brings out a lot of detail. Perfect for a natural wood finish and leaves the surface feeling smooth with no tackiness. Love this stuff.

This is the third can purchased in the last nine months. This is a great product and produces a beautiful finish both from the look and the feel of the wood. It is easy and fairly quick to apply; wipe on, wipe off the excess and a light polishing wipe.

As hard wax finishes go, it is as good as you get, for less money than some. A small amount of Osmo is required to finish a product, so it goes a long way. The result is quite nice in appearance, and texture.

This product works very well and looks great. The only problem is everytime you open the can there is a thick skin over the oil. Eventually you lose about 1/4 of the product because the skin doesn't redisolve and become usable. I think the only way to use OSMO without wasting any is to buy "Stop loss bags" and they are not cheap.

As most of the reviews or recommendations i’ve watched, they say this is the closest to rubio monocoat. It’s true that a little amount goes a long way and it’s so easy to apply. Well recommended.

Great product for finishing custom wood projects. Dries very, very hard! Suggest very thin coats. Applied with white non-abrasive pads. Did not leave on excess oil. Great all-natural product for leaving an extra hard finish on floors, cutting boards, walking sticks-whatever wood project you have! Enhances the wood color & grain!

If you want a basic finish that doesn’t look awful and is glossy but not to chemically, this is it. If you want a “perfect,” gloss finish… this is not the product. Or be prepared to work for a week straight on it. Very different finishes come out on different grains too, so if you are working on a table for instance with different grains, you can end up with sections that look like a mirror and sections that look almost matte. For me personally it was disappointing, but might be perfect for your project. I think I’d be more prone to use it on floors than a table too.
