Easy to setup. Works as advertised.
Unlike the experience of others here, I found the camera very easy to connect to my iPhone (13). Every feature works exactly as advertised. My only complaint is really not the manufacturers fault and that's that the cable isn't stiff enough to extend the camera very many feat before it droops down under it's own weight and makes pointing it impossible. This is obviously what is going to happen, in hindsight, but anyone who thinks they're going to extend it a dozen feat or more into HVAC duct work, for example, is going to quickly get disappointed. It needs some sort of wheeled device to attach to the camera end that will hold it up and allow it to roll over bumps and seams without catching. For short distances, it works well!

Versatile and provides a sharp high resolution picture
I have Depstech 2.0 camera that I used for the first time recently and was invaluable in locating internet cable that I was stringing through a wall. Without a camera to locate and hook onto the cable might have taken an hour instead of minutes, not to speak of the frustration. When it was offered, I jumped at the opportunity to review the Depstech 5.0 camera. The 5.0 is a significant step up from the 2.0 starting with the high resolution of the camera. It provides a sharp clear view of where the lens is being directed and the camera can zoom in/out as necessary. Add to that, the ability to take photos for analysis later makes this a very nice package.I also like that the 5.0 (and 2.0 for that matter) are not tethered to the mobile device. You can set down your phone/tablet and have two hands free to maneuver the camera. The only caveat I would say is that the 5.0 works better with higher end devices. When I contacted Depstech support to advise that there was lag time between movement of the camera and the image on the device, they stated the greater resolution of the camera required a more powerful phone and that makes sense since my cell is middle of the road at best. Subsequently, I tried it on a tablet and the lag time improved noticeably. I should say that the 5.0 is usable with lower end devices and you would still see high res images, but only after the camera has stopped moving. I should add that the Depstech customer service/support was very responsive and there was no issue in understanding my question about image motion.

Good product once it's working; *terrible* documentation; directions for setup are nonexistent
I ordered the 5MP Endoscope and after some wasted time and effort, it performs well. However, the setup instruction documentation is absolutely awful, written poorly and essentially useless. This is a product imported from China that ultimately works well but the language barrier and lack of simple documentation in English need to be considered before buying it. Once I got past the ridiculous written lack of instructions, I looked on the internet and found others with the same comments who posted helpful directions on setup. I realized I had to tie it to my iPad phone via bluetooth (rather than my internet service provider), then I downloaded the product software which is also almost useless and similarly with NO instruction for use. But, I figured it out. If I had to buy this again, I would definitely choose another product. Since all are imported, chances are the documentation might be equally poor.

A nicely designed product for working in walls
I'm an electrician who bought this for fishing a Romex cable from a ceiling fixture to a wall switch location. The semiflexible snake wasn't quite stiff enough to guide up the wall without getting hung up on the plaster and lath, so I taped it to a fiberglass rod and was able to see that the top of the wall cavity was capped with a 2x4. I was able to see where to drill with a long bit. It also let me see where to put another fiberglass rod (with a string attached) through the hole. I then removed it from the wall, added the hook, and was able to use the camera to snag the string and pull it over to the hole in the ceiling and then pull the Romex down to the switch. I am very pleased with this purchase. I wouldn't have been able to do this job without it. The camera was clear and being able to view the image on both my tablet and my phone at the same time was a big help. I used a music stand to hold my tablet and that left both hands free to manipulate the camera and the long drill. I've used it a couple times since that original job and it has worked well each time. I recommend this product to anyone who has a need to look inside places that are otherwise inaccessible.

Best Endoscope out there!
Quick set up. App is simple, but that’s a good thing, because it’s not a cluster like other apps. Camera quality while recording seems a bit laggy, but once it is saved to your device, it looks HD. I bought a truck that was having trouble when I would pump gas. The gas nozzle would click off every 15 cents that I would pump in. I went to the mechanic and was told I’d need a new fuel filler neck, new gas lines, and would have to drop the gas tank a bit to make adjustments. I thought it sounded like too much work, because I had already paid to get a new fuel pump, and many more fuel related things. The problem was still there. So, I decided to buy this device and see what was going on. I found out there was a sort of sludge thing that looked like silicone. I would have never been able to figure out what was going on without this device. I was able to use my vacuum and suck all that gunk out. I filled up my truck after that without a problem. It was the happiest feeling, being able to fill your car without having to take 10-15 minutes for every $20 on gas. Definitely keeping this. Oh, and I also found out there’s a giant desk hidden on the other side of my wall in the attic, and some Christmas lights that seem to be hanging on the wall. I probably discovered too much at this point...

Quality product wit a heap of features
The inbuilt lighting and dimmer are fantastic as is the picture button facility. Really impressed with the quality and features. That said the instructions were a little difficult to follow but i went to school before electronic calculators let alone computers so take that with a grain of salt.
