Good deal for those hardcore caffeine-iacs
First of the biggest feature after price was shipping time, and boy were they fast. I placed my order and in three days it was at my door with just the free Amazon shipping. The coffee itself is a full bodied, robust coffee perfect for drip, espresso, and my french press. I prefer the whole bean to control the grind but they do have the option of pre-ground, which is best for just drip. It may be too dark for some people but those of us who work graveyard shift know the best coffee is when you have to chew it. Finally the price. You get three bags of the standard sized Starbucks, which compared to my local grocer and the local Starbucks works out to be close to a buy two, get the third bag free.

Good coffee
tried this flavor for the first time at Christmas from a gift package and looked for it online. found it on Amazon for a very good price. Coffee is excellent ... perfect if you like strong coffee.

Fresh?
Received 3 packages and the last digit of the year on the 'best buy' date has a hole through it on every package. This makes me very suspicious. No way to tell if the product is fresh. Disappointing because I really like this flavor and it's hard to find the whole beans at stores.

Poor quality beans
I was looking forward to trying this bold coffee flavor which was supposed to have a sweet flavor. However, although package arrived earlier than promised, the beans were old (dull, not glossy) without evidence of oil on them (which fresher beans would have). Lacked powerful smell (if fresh, would have been strong when opened). Consequently, this coffee tasted poor/watery after beans were ground and dripped.

A good dark coffee bean.
Not quite on a level with Gold Coast.

My favorite coffee
Cafe Verona is strong and complex with slightly sweet notes. I've never had a bitter cup of Cafe Verona, and it is my favorite Starbucks coffee. This is a great coffee to get you going in the morning. To bring out the best flavor I prefer brewing it using a French Press. Decaf Cafe Verona is great for the evening and makes a great base for Irish Coffee.

Great coffee but way cheaper if you buy from your local starbucks
5 stars for the coffee (I like the fact that it's much less acidic on your stomach than French & Italian Roast) + its slight mocha tasteminus 1 star for the fact that it would be ~$40 for 3-16 oz bags from your local Starbucks.

Starbucks best coffee
We have tried all of the different blends that Starbucks has to offer, and we always come back to the Caffe Verona. It is dark, smooth and sweet all at the same time. A great cup of coffee if you like it strong.
