F 2630 Deluxe Sash Lift, 3-5/16 In., Diecast Construction, White (2 Pack)

The replacement sashes fit exactly as like the original that we had to replace. Very easy to remove the old ones and install the new ones. The new sashes feel a lot stronger, and I feel confident they will outlast the windows because they are metal and not plastic. Over the years the original sashes installed by the window installer degraded most probably from the UV light coming in through the window. These were made of a type of plastic. These metal ones are very strongly made, match the white of our window frames, and were easy to install. If possible, I would suggest to use the original screws from the old sashes. The original screws were of a slightly different thread, and their length was slightly shorter. I did not want to take a chance on degrading the self tap type thread in the frame, and the length of the new screws appeared to be about 1/8 inch longer. In my case I felt safer to use the original screws. I saw in the package there is a diagram showing the dimensions. This would be very handy if making a new installation. From my point of view this is a good quality window sash.

Install was easy and the product is sturdy.

These are made of metal with an attractive white finish. They are eay to install but be careful to drill the screws' pilot holes far enogh down so they miss the window pane or you might crack the glass. A piece of masking tape wrapped around the drill bit makes a great depth guage to avoid drilling deeper than necessary. White phillips flat head screws are included.

These are high quality metal sash lifts and very reasonably priced but be cautious with the long screws provided. I installed these on some vinyl replacement windows in one of my rentals but reused the shorter screws from the old broken plastic lifts. The longer screws provided with the new sash lifts would have certainly hit and damaged the insulated glass units in the windows. Other than the screws, the old holes lined up perfectly and this was a very simple installation.

I am pleased with the quality of this sash lift: The white powder coating was evenly applied and of a good thickness. The weight of the diecast metal construction is also apparent and should wear well with repeated use. I drilled 2 pilot holes before attaching to the window frame to avoid any risk of splitting the wood. I also made sure not to position too close to the glass to prevent any possible cracking of the window. So just be mindful of these extra steps to avoid any headaches. Would buy again.

Great for the price. The more expensive are metal, these are plastic, but work the same. The ones I replaced were plastic and lasted at least a decade, some over 2 decades now
