It's right there where I need it when I need it in the woods.
Yeah, it's hard to read without my glasses. So are a lot of small items I use. More importantly, it's reasonably accurate, and it's actually there when I want to squint and find out whether I'm imagining it's gotten colder. Good product, in my opinion.

A bit hard to read, but functional
The thermometer does work. The scale's graduated in 5 degree increments, but with a little effort (and decent reading glasses) you can estimate measurements between the markings. The Celsius markings are much tighter and would be harder to interpolate. It looks like it's made in two plastic pieces with the card sandwiched between them: I haven't tried dunking it, but I suspect it would be water resistant but not waterproof.I took several measurements to calibrate mine against a remote-read infrared thermometer. The keychain thermometer read very low (about 8-9 deg. F) at freezer temperatures and gradually caught up as the temp increased. It was only 2-4 deg. F low at around 70 degrees. So the good news is the variation seems predictable enough that you could calibrate it if you want it to be more accurate. If you just want to know whether it's really 30 degrees out or just feels that way because of the wind, it should be fine straight out of the packaging, but I'd hesitate to take it in underwater.

Tired of Guessing at Brrrr??
These are nifty little gizmos to stick on your hiking pack via carabiner. When I'm hiking or camping, I often wonder what the temperature is and, yet, am often not within cell service. I decided for the low price to buy a pair of these and stick one on each of my hiking backpacks. Didn't even know I'd get an added a little bonus of the chart on the back (see pictures) that gives you the wind chill factor when you combine the temperature + the wind speed. Now, if it only measured wind speed.... So far, the pair seem to be registering the temperature consistently in my home. It's not a real detailed gauge (5 degree incrememts), but what can you expect? It is good enuf.

Will change your life
Bought this for my hikes into the mountains of Southern California. The temperature range on these hikes goes from reasonable to near 100 degrees in the summer. This thermometer somehow miraculously kept the temperature at 75 degrees +/- 5 degrees, No matter what the temperature being experienced by other hikers was, I was a very comfortable 75 degrees. It said so.I am not sure how far this controlled temperature zone extends from the thermometer. It's possible that if you walked very close to someone else they could also experience the comfortable, climate controlled region.I am wondering if they make a lightweight hygrometer? It can be very dry in the desert, especially at high altitudes. I would pay big money to have a miracle device that keeps me at like 50% humidity.

Not for FL. summers
I live in Florida & wanted this for my car. Well, this could not upstand the Fl heat. It went up to 120 & that was it!!! It never came down from there & then the red liquid inside separated never to come together again :(. This thermometer would most likely work great in another climate.

Small, Lightweight and Great for Hiking
Purchased this for our backpacking trip in CO, and it worked great. Haven't tested accuracy, but was at minimum a good ballpark estimate.

Difficult to read
I knew the thermometer was small but I had not anticipated how tiny the numbers and lines on it would have to be. So while I can tell the the temperature is above 60 and below 80, I really have to hold still and study it to figure out the temperate is around 75. I bought it for my 90 year old Mom and she couldn’t read any on the numbers even with her readers on. I’ll be looking for something with either a digital readout or a bit larger.
