Far better than the old orange silicone sheets!
Works far better than the original orange sheets. Food would stick like crazy to the old original orange silicone sheets, while using parchment paper was a far better option.PARCHMENT PAPER VS. THESE RE-USABLE SHEETSParchment paper still works far better, allowing really wet food some air flow underneath, whereas these sheets offer very little to no airflow underneath food. Regardless, the time for dehydration is only slightly negated (in comparison to parchment paper) as once the food is flipped or is warped for allowing airflow underneath, complete dehydration is imminent from my experience using these sheets. (Might add 30-60 minutes at most, in comparison to parchment paper.)EASY CLEANINGVery easy to clean, the sheets simple fold to the contours of the sink with ~2 inches of warm soapy water. Wipe with a wash cloth and rinse. Dry the sheets in the food dehydrator.TEFLON TOXICITY? Uh?Some have stated these are made from Teflon and not silicone, and I'd be surprised! They seem like silicone. As far as I have read about toxicity of Teflon, Teflon does not break done until 400-500F. Since dehydrators are tempered below 200F and my large Excalibur dehydrator is rated for less than 160F, I currently have little concern with the toxicity. I have though, forgone using Teflon coated saute pans for many decades, simply because I find the coatings degrade over 6-12 months.

I don't earn anything from this review - I'm just a mom who stays home with her kids. I wish I had gotten these sooner. These are absolutely amazing. They are very flexible but very strong and fit perfecting on the Excaliber trays. I was afraid they might not allow the foods to dry well, especially in the center of the tray - but they work really well, dry very quickly and evenly, and are a breeze to wash. I put them on the screen which sits on the tray for extra support (they don't need it, but I like it that way). Will be order more when we have money saved up so I can do the whole dehydrator full of these. Tiny dried pieces can't fall through, so I end up with more product for my effort. I can't recommend these highly enough!

Awesome Product
These are awesome to work with, I make paper thin beef jerky that has quite a bit of sugar in the marinade which means it sticks to everything when it caramelize. Laying the raw marinated meat glides on top of the sheets which makes it easy to get into place and utilize the entire surface area unlike parchment paper. These do have a smell to them right out of the packaging so you will need to wash them well prior to use. These sheets have a nice weight to them which helps it to stay in place unlike parchment paper. Because it does not have holes like the teflon sheet your dehydration times take a little longer but not by much. These are a bit pricey compared to others but they feel well made and durable and will probably last with proper care.

Well worth saving up for.
Parchment paper works, but these make peeling soooo much easier. Parchment paper is flexible but it wrinkles which makes it a tad difficult to spread a moist mixture or peel it off to be able to "flip" to continue drying.I just peeled off my first batch of strawberry and blueberry rollups to flip. Even the "sticky" spots in the middle were much less of a hassle than the paper. I won't have to purchase any more paper, ever. Just rinse, then put them back in the dehydrator to dry and store for next time. My 9 tray Excalibur gets used 4-5 days a week with requests for flaxseed crackers and rollups. These will last to pass down to the kids, along with the dehydrator. They can fight over who gets it!

Just what I needed to make crackers, fruit roll ups etc.
These are really nice, but a bit pricey (which is why I only gave 4 stars). They are thick, yet pliable so you can store them rolled up in a drawer. They come packaged in a hard cardboard tube inside of an Amazon box. These have no smell to them, so anyone that is sensitive to that will not have a problem. They wash up beautifully!

worth the money
i ordered this to go with my excalibur dehydrator. will be ordering more until i fill my 9 tray dehydrator. it is expensive but worth the price because it fits exactly and is of quality material, will no doubt last a long time. so much better than trying to rip and tear parchment paper and don't have to cut mismatched sheets bought from the store. I saw cheaper options but realized they contained BPA, and with the heating and cooling with dehydrating, this was the safest option. the whole point of making food at home is to know what is in it, so worth the extra money to remain healthy and safe while convenient and easy to use.
