"The Original McNally Ukulele Strumstick" Hand Built in the USA by the Designer of the Martin BackpackerThe Ukulele Strumstick is a 4-string, ukulele-tuned instrument (GCEA) with a chromatic fretboard, exactly like a Concert Uke, BUT, instead of nylon strings, it uses steel strings. We wanted to add another (valuable!) voice to the Ukulele Choir, and the steel strings are well suited to the natural voice of the Strumstick body. The sound is bright and clear, plunky like nylon strings, but with a little edge, like a hint of banjo and mandolin.
