Nirvana Futons Eastridge Futon Set - Queen Size, Frame, 8" Mattress, Twill Black Cover

This is a beautiful futon! I chose the green color and it is a true green and so pretty! It adds such color to my study!! The futon mattress is queen size and it is comfortable and very, very soft. I am so happy with my purchase. It took us 1 hour and a half to put the futon together. You need two people to assemble it. Do the back FIRST. Then the bottom SECOND. Then the frame THIRD. You have to line everything up well. It’s a little heavy but quite manageable. I am using it as a couch for my study, which I also work in. It looks really elegant with the sides that provide a place to put a lap top as well as your phone, etc. I did but the futon cover separately but didn’t need it as I’m using a handmade bedspread that’s embroidered. It goes so beautifully with it. I was truly amazed at how nicely it was packaged. It arrived exactly when Amazon gave the estimate for which was about 2 weeks. I read ALL of the reviews before purchasing this. I paid over $600 for this futon in the queen size. It is worth the money. Thank you for making a great product

We have had our Nirvana futon for five days now. We absolutely love this futon. My husband assembled it in about two hours. The mattress is thick and very comfortable when sitting and lying down. The flip out tray arms are handy to set drinks on and not have bulky end tables. The futon is sturdy and well built. We added wheels so that we could easily move the futon on carpet. My only complaint is that the mattress is tufted. That means they put stitching in several spots to hold all of the inner layers in place and they used white thread that sticks out like a sore thumb against the maroon fabric that we chose. Also one of the tufts was missing so there are small holes in the fabric making it vulnerable to a future tear. I am also baffled by how I am going to wash the mattress cover. It has a zipper in it but since it's tufted, I won't be able to take it out of the cover. Frustrating since my futon will be on the screened porch and I would generally want to wash it every season. Other than that, we really like it so far.

I put it together myself, and I’m 71 years old. It would have been EASIER with a se person, no doubt, but it can be done alone. The wood is solid and heavy, the futon mattress thick and comfy. I needed it for when my grandkids visit overnight, and it opens and closes easily once you get the hang of it. It stays upright most of the time, and is a very comfortable sofa as well. I recommend to anyone wanting a futon.

I received the frame about 4 days before the mattress so I was able to assemble it in advance. Instruction was straight forward and I was able to put it together mostly alone in about 1.5 hours in a leisurely manner. I used the provided tools - no power tools. I needed help to place the seat on the base. I don’t think anyone could do that alone. It looks great and is well constructed. Worth the price. The mattress is still airing out, but was super soft and comfortable right out of the box! The 2 of the 3 boxes are heavy. I used a hand truck to move them into the house. I am female - for reference to what may or may not be heavy to you.I ordered the navy blue mattress and received it as expected - unlike one review that I read which stated navy is darker or black in color.Overall very pleased that I selected this one. Also, I contacted the company to inquire about the mattress shipment and they were very responsive.

Futon frame is very sturdy and attractive. We up graded the mattress to opt for more support and cushioning and after sleeping on it for an hour my hips were aching. The mattress that we upgraded to dose not fit well on the frame when it is closed. The mattress does not bend well so it sticks up on the back side and looks poor. wish I could of sent it back but we were expecting guest so kept it. No we do not close the futon because how poorly it looks when the mattress does not bend over the back.

I have bought 3 of them, guess they work, and happy with them. Have to be if I am a repeat buyer.

All right, so all's well that ends well, but this was a bit of an ordeal. When you order this set, you should know that the mattress is shipped separately, and it does NOT ship at the same time as the frame. I received the frame in about a week, and it was easy enough for my husband and I to set up. You do need to read the instructions carefully and best to have a second person. Everything is well labeled and generally easy to follow. So I had this great frame, and no mattress. After several emails back and forth, I eventually got a shipping notice and then received the mattress about 2.5 weeks later. So their estimate of 1-4 days after the frame is WAY off. So I got the mattress and it was in my garage standing on end for about 2 days - my mistake. Because this is a futon mattress, the material shifted a little so it is a little flat on one end - again my mistake just mentioning it so others won't do the same. The mattress is pretty thick and after unrolling it and letting it sit for a few days it fluffed up and I think it's pretty comfortable. Be aware, it isn't a Tempurpedic mattress - it's a FUTON. They are a bit hard. But that's actually good for your back. So all things considered, I'm happy with this purchase, just wish the seller had been better with the communication about the mattress. I did have to initiate all the emails.
