These are so cool. It is like a bread tie and plastic ...
These are so cool. It is like a bread tie and plastic tie had a mutated, but awesomely great baby. I have found some many uses for these ties as they are so durable and come in all sorts of sizes. You can even combine them to get the perfect size you need for your task. I have a couple of containers of these and use them mainly on my boat and while fishing. They do a great job in bundling my fishing poles together for transporting. You can use these practically anywhere you can use bread ties or plastic ties.I cannot attest for the long-term effects of weather on the material these are made of, which seems like some sort of silicon, they seem durable and flex very well. For the heck of it, I have bent and bent and....well, you get the point and these things in all sorts of directs, angles and twisted them very tightly and they seem like they will last.I was in a pinch when the bracket for my fish finder started giving me issues. So I temporarily used these to hold my fish finder. It actually worked better than the bracket because I was able to situate the device just where I really wanted it. I have since purchased a Ram Mount that swivels and such...but these twist ties were great in a pinch and would have likely held up for the season. The 3" ones are not nearly as useful as the longer ones, unless you are using them is applications such as for a bread tie. I use these to twist around 1-3" glow sticks and then tie the other end around a large paper clip. I open one end of the paper clip up a little and clip it onto my fishing line at night. This simple setup allows me to see when I get a bite at night as it moves up or down when a fish bites. I have had many more hook-ups as I can see the bite much sooner than before and am more ready to set the hook at the right time. I used to use bread ties for this setup, but the 3" Nite Ize ties are so much better and I don't have to worry about them rusting or breaking when I leave them on my boat or out in the weather.I have also used these to attach a small battery-powered lantern to my boat's bimini rail at the top and use it for over head lighting. The uses for these are just endless. So buy some and have a blast. I recommend the assorted tubes so you can get a feel for your go-to size ranges. These are fun, functional and seemingly very durable (time will tell). I will certainly be purchasing many more of these to put in my vehicles and use around the house.

a million and one uses!
This is definitely one of your "million-and-one uses you haven't thought of yet:" kind of items! My daughter and I spend about 20 minutes on the "Whose line is it?" game alone ("It's a pair of choptsticks! A bug's antannae!") These are flexible and have a non-slip elastic coating and can be bent and twisted into a variety of shapes, and can be used to hang, tie, and support pretty much anything you can think of. The 24" ones are surprisingly fat and robust-looking, and feel like they are strong enough to double as handcuffs (not very good ones, I grant you!) I think I may start carrying these around with me. Not only will you find this variety tube useful, but a lot of FUN, too!Update: I have run out of them! Some typical uses:*holding the legs of a folded-up bicycle shop stand together while I moved it.*holding the bicycle pump on the frame after the strap broke*securing bikes on a train so they don't roll around*a "what is it?" game with my second graders*keeping a bicycle multitool folded*hanging a shop light*wrapping up the cord on a vacuum cleaner after the mount broke*securing knee pads to a mountain bike with a broken deraileurso handy! Especially those 18" and 24" ones! I have ordered some more. And yes, I do carry them around with me, a small one in the toolkit and a big one wrapped around the seatpost.sizes: 3" Black, 3" Lime, 3" Bright Orange, 6" Black, 6" Blue, 6" Bright Orange, 12" Black, 12" Blue, 18" Black, 18" Lime, 24" Black & 24" Bright Orange

Quality
I like all the gear ties. Little pricey but they do work well, easy to use.

Work great, but a little pricey
These Nite Ize Gear Tie rubber twist ties are great! This package of reusable, durable twist ties includes 2 each of 4 different sizes: 3”, 6”, 12” and 18”. Other sizes are sold separately. These twist ties can be used for a wide variety of home, office, and travel needs. I recently discovered them while looking for something to secure all the electrical cords (hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, Waterpik, etc.) in our bathrooms. I had been using rubber bands, but they kept breaking. These Nite Ize Gear Tie twist ties work really well. I love that they are made in the USA. The only negative thing about them is the price. If you have a lot of cords/cables, it doesn’t take long for the cost to really add up. Despite that, I like them and would recommend.

Think MacGyver: Handy, Reusable & Smart
I love NiteIze gearties. I bought some long ones before and decided to get a variety pack. I must say, the most practical sizes for travel/hiking/backpacking are 18" + 12" (they're half that length doubled over). The 6" areprobably only good for something like bread bag ties. The 2" have no use I can think of? - too short. I bought these on Amazon warehouse, and even though they're supposed to inspect the package, I was shorted one of those..but turns out no loss! What I love about the gearties is they really are completely bendable and repeatedly re-bendable. You can bend them a thousand times and they go right back to shape.I got these mainly because my backpack lacks (for some reason?) straps for a bedpad. I can use the 18" cobbled together using other straps and clasps on the pack to wrap around a bedroll. The others I just tossed in my pack to keep for who knows what you might need them for on the trail - keeping food closed up? a quick repair? Macgyvering something?

Super handy and versatile
We use these for everything. Small ones to wrap, charging cords, large ones to hang heavy things in the garage. Hundreds of uses, well-made, and great price.
