American Suffragette Women's Costume

I was looking for a Mrs. Banks costume to my daughter's Mary Poppins. This fit the bill nicely. I received a ton of compliments. I used it for two different parties and received loads of compliments both nights. It is great value for the money. It stayed the same after washing. Stored away for another year. Definitely follow the size chart for the chest area. It is very stretchy material, but it would gape horribly in the chest with the wrong measurement. I'm normally a medium and the xl fit well.

I felt there was ok value for the money but would have been happier if it could be laundered. The sizing runs small so I would recommend ordering at least one size up. I ordered an XL which just fits if I wear and exercise bra. This was the largest size available and since I usually wear a L I thought it would have been a bit more roomy

This was a great buy and well made, but IT RUNS SMALL!! I wear a size 10, ordered a large, but really could have worn an XL, especially up top. I'm not busty, but the top was a bit snug. Otherwise, it's well made, decently comfortable, length is good, sash is flimsy. But worth the price!

The costume was a perfect fit. I ordered the size best indicated on the sizing chart and it was a just the right size. Very good quality costume!

I wanted this item to wear in a parade with a 1918 theme. I was in a hurry to get something quickly as my participation in the parade was last-minute, and the costume arrived on time for me to do that. I turned the collar up and pinned it with a marcasite pin. The material is not the most comfortable, and I almost washed it before wearing, then I read the label: spot clean only. It did survive the parade in case I want to wear it again. Everyone who saw me in it thought that it was a wonderful costume. I did wear a wide stretch belt underneath the green sash that comes with it and that helped keep the green sash from folding over on itself. Three stars only because of its limited life (inability to wash) and slightly uncomfortable material (I did get used to it and was not uncomfortable for long).

After the event, I had fake blood and dirt on the costume and decided to throw it into the washer and it came out just GREAT. Also dried it in the dryer. It's polyester!I wear a medium in most things, after reading the reviews I ordered a large and it fit well. It was comfortable. Like other reviews said, it's one piece, like a dress.

If you need a Suffragette dress - this will work. The costume runs small, material is thin, but the worst thing is - the label specifies that it cannot be washed or dry cleaned. So - the sash is a keeper, but I will replace the dress with my own white shirt and long dark skirt.

Outfit was perfect. Ordered large for the 10-12 size.
