Dal Raccolto Bronze Die Pasta - Fusilli, 1 lb Box

I really want my pasta to have a dull look to it when dry. This type of pasta is often referred to as bronze cut and it is dull because of the way it was cut, not the ingredients. The advantage of this is that when the pasta is cooked it's surface is a little textured and so the sauces cling to it well. Many of the pastas that you buy at your local supermarket look smooth in the box and when cooked don't properly hold the sauce. Having said that, if you can find good quality pasta in your local grocery store it might be the better option since it is probably a bit cheaper. Our local store used to carry a good pasta but, probably because it was a little more expensive, dropped it. I should mention that I see no mention on the box that this product is organic.

I bought this pasta a year ago BECAUSE it was listed as Organic. It is NOT organic, I called Amazon and informed them very clearly what the issue was, and they quickly refunded me. Now here it is STILL LISTED as Organic!!! This is just a WARNING to anyone else that might be considering this pasta because it says Organic in the title. It is NOT Organic. However it is genuine imported Italian pasta and Italy is more conscientious in producing their wheat than the USA, with far less residual pesticide. But this pasta is technically NOT Organically grown, period.

Great pasta, stays al dente to have that bite your are looking for. Absolutely reasonably priced.

Now that we know the secret of Bronze Die Cut pasta, well never go back to the other kinds. The sauce (alfredo/salmon and Mac&Cheese, red sauce) all sticks to it so nicely. The flavor is about the same as other pasta, but the consistency is nicer - more solid. love it!

Best dry pasta on the market. Great flavor.

Taste and texture is far superior in my opinion to the typical brands you get in American grocery stores.

We visited Italy and now we can only eat pasta made in Italy. Have to get another job to support our new habit! LOL. Really, this is great Pasta!!!
