I do not have fine china, but more of a porcelain type dishes. This rack holds 6 plates and four soup plates per shelf. I put the fifth soup dish on the top. It is space saving making room for the other dishes on the same shelf. It works for me as I am moving to a smaller apartment and need to reduce and compress my stuff.

We moved into a house with limited kitchen storage so I thought these would be a great solution to extend my shelf space. When I unpacked it, I was disappointed about how flimsy it seems. However, when I put it in the cabinet, it fit perfectly. The shelves bowed when I put plates on them but they continue to hold after two months of use. My shelves are neater and I’m able to use more of my shelf space without having to unstack the plates. They function as they should. It would be better if they were metal and not plastic.
