Lee Preciesion 90995 Lee Precision, Powder Charging Die Kit

Great product!

I really like these. So much so I have installed them in several Lee turret disc. They can be used to function Lee Auto loader powder dispensers or Hand dump measured load thru a standard plastic reloading funnel and this charging dies. This means the disc turret is ready to slip into the press and all the presets are ready to use. Lee makes some of the best products on the market, They are priced to be a value, and the quality is as good as it gets. Machining is excellent.

I'm new to reloading. These die sets make it easy to get started. Setup was painless. Just raise the press and set the die to touch the shell holder. The only die that I backed off was the resizer. I used a dime between the resizer and shell holder. This makes it resize the neck only. Neck sizing can help accuracy if firing rounds out of the same rifle.

I use this set on my six pack pro loader and my load master. I have a few sets so that I can adjust them and leave them on the die plate or quick bushing for each caliber.

I've only yet used the small die since I'm primarily using this to load .223 Remington. It perfectly holds the Lee powder funnel and it makes single stage powder charging so much easier. Since I have a breechlock press, installing this die takes seconds. My only advice is to get used to how to set your brass in place. And when you drop powder, give it a couple of taps to knock in any loose powder. Treat the funnel with graphite powder (from your local locksmith) to prevent any excess sticking.This has been a huge time saver for me. It is a definite step up from manually funneling powder into cases. But not to the level of an on-press auto powder drop. I have an RCBS Chargemaster Lite that does all of my measuring so this does a great job. I think the only other place I could shave time with this process is to prime on the upstroke but I prefer to handprime off press.

I am getting a lot of spillage with 223. It seems the chamfer inside the die isn’t steep enough to seat the case mouth flush enough to receive the powder. After I made an insert to pre-center the case in the die it works perfectly
