I purchased the Alba Botanica - gardenia - shampoo nine months ago because I tried it in a friend’s shower and loved the authentic smell of gardenias, something I grew up with. At first I used it just as shampoo, but soon I started using it for body wash and facial cleanser as well. It is great in all three uses. I use a single pump for my hair and another one or two for the rest of my body. It lathers really well! My skin doesn’t feel dried out afterwards either. I shower every other day or so and I’m buying my second bottle now. There’s a LOT of product in the bottle.

I purchased two bottles of this shampoo because an Ayurvedic consultant had recommended adding Gardenia scent to a moisturizing body oil, and I thought it would be nice to complement that with a Gardenia scented shampoo. This was one of the first products at the top of the list from a Web search for Gardenia shampoo. I liked the fact that the product is organic and does not use animals in testing. I find the floral scent of the Alba Botanica Gardenia shampoo to be very pleasing. Some men might find the scent to feminine, but I am secure enough in my masculinity to smell like flowers, so I like the aroma a lot. The shampoo is very gentle, not like some products that really strip your hair harshly. I use it six days a week and I do feel like there is some build-up over this time. Also, by the end of the day my hair feels a little greasy. Therefore I use a stronger shampoo once a week to scrub my hair and scalp and remove build-up. I am glad I got two bottles of the product (to save on shipping cost, which is considerable). I may try the next product that came up in my Web search eventually, just to compare.

This shampoo rocks! It has the floral, fresh and sweet fragrance you want in a good shampoo. It lathers so very nicely! I’d repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it cleans my whole families hair perfectly and we all have different textures/types.

My hair is so smooth and soft while lathering, I really feel the emollient properties in this formula! Sometime I like the feel so much I skip the conditioner!Really does improve your hairs health, look, feel, and moisture level with every wash! I love that I feel so healthy when using this!! Great for natural hair and defining natural hair texture.

Tried this at an airbnb in florida and it made my hair soft and manageable. I had volume and I actually really liked the scent although im not really into gardenia smell.There is no lather on this but i still like it. I live in Ny and the water is different here so it has a different effect on hair but still overall i am very satisfied with this shampoo
