Ties the whole bathroom together
This is a very nice piece of plumbing trim - it finished our bath remodel off nicely and gives a consistent look to the faucet which features the same "shepherd's crook" design elements. This really ties it all together - more so than most would believe. The unit itself is of solid quality, with an unblemished bright chrome finish that feels of sufficient thickness - not a flash plating. The escutcheon fits the shower arm tightly - it's outside diameter is slightly smaller than a standard escutcheon that one might purchase separately - it also has a longer profile. It can be swapped with an aftermarket, however in our case, it further tied in the look and feel of the faucet, and smaller putter diameter was not an issue as we were careful to trim our tile in closely. It's not all cosmetic - the extra reach puts the shower head at a much more comfortable spot within the shower, and truly aids in keeping the stray spray on the right side of the curtain. For taller people who's shower arms are already at a lower height, this unit likely would not work well - there are other solutions.

Truly horizontal, makes rainhead shower perfect
Keeps a rainhead shower perfectly horizontal, close to the wall, and high. Gives the real rainshower experience with virtually no splashes on the glass walls. Looked at two others with S shapes that still had a slight angle before finding this one. A contractor installed it, so I don't know how easy or hard it was.

Chrome plated pipe is cheap brass tubing.
I was very disappointed by this item. I purchased it to raise the shower head in a small downstairs shower, in an older home. My intent was to shorten the shaft and re-thread it, to keep the 'crook' closer to the wall. After cutting off the appropriate amount, I discovered that the pipe was not pipe. It was chrome plated, very thin, brass tubing. The pipe-like ends were threaded slugs attached to the tubing. Attempting to thread the cut tubing just completely shredded it. So the money spent on this, and the threading die, was wasted.

Its a great item for the price
I installed this in our round corner shower. This pipe allows us to open the door and not have any water spray on to the floor. Its a great item for the price.

Solid. Elegant Curves. More Height!
plumbers installed rainfall shower head such that the rain "fell" half an inch or less with my six foot tall frame standing under it....added this curved shower arm and got a decent distance between the shower head and MY head. nice.

Created a rain shower
This was perfect. It allowed us to use our shower head to create a rain shower instead of the normal angled spray... Much better for washing and kept the "hard water" off of the glass... easier cleanup and simpler operation.Buying another one for another shower.

Great quality and well packaged
This pipe allowed me to change the direction of the shower head from pointing sideways to straight down. Keeps most of the water off the shower walls and resolved the issue of leaking at door. Great quality and well packaged.

This did exactly what we wanted it to do. Extended the shower head out and maintained the head height.

As advertised. Good quality.
Looking for just this level of quality. Tired of cheap but cheaply made products. A little more expensive, but worth it.
