I love this show. I'm getting that out of the way so you can understand that I am very biased and for all the times it gets things factually wrong, the characters and cases are fascinating. These are very flawed people and I love them to bits. I loved ve how it functions as a case of the week show but there are threads that pay off seasons later. The character work is outstanding.

Great cast ! Realistic portrayal of laboratory investigations and criminologists who do the sad work behind solving murders . Sadly this is the world we live in.

This is a fascinating and mostly accurate extended look at the world of science in the service of law enforcement. The quality of the acting, the sets, and the story lines are fascinating. This show was the most watched t.v. show in the world for several years and I can understand why that is true. I tended not to pay attention to and to bypass the commentaries often made by the shows' writers, and this may have been a mistake because when I did listen to them, they often pointed out subtleties that I had entirely missed. This season mentioned here was the inaugural one for a series that ran for something like 15 years and 300+ episodes, a measure of how engaging it is. The inaccuracies, mostly about the scientific procedures, are by and large minor and not much important. A caution: some of the shows, especially the later ones, are conceptually and graphically very gruesome, and you can't always see this coming. But that shortcoming aside, I'd give it rave reviews, one of the best series ever, and an A+

What can I say about the most successful T.V. show period. I am such a C.S.I. fan, yes Criminal Justice is my thing, but this show is incredible. The effects, storyline, and characters have made this show last for at least 15 seasons. I have to agree after all the big stars started to leave the show, it has declined some, but the show is incredible. I would recommend this series to anyone, except those that gross out easily. The show gives the viewer some what of the real deal. If you are looking for great T.V., which is lacking lately C.S.I. is the series for you. The best years are seasons 1-9, and trust me this is one of the best T.V. shows ever. Check it out if you like cop shows, court case shows, etc., you will love this.THX,Kris L. CocKayne

I am such a huge fan of CSI, that when this First Season Boxed Set arrived around December 27th, I watched nothing but these DVDs daily, until I had to return to work on Monday, January 3rd.On New Year's Eve I sat down at my 'puter and ordered the "Second Season", and it arrived about a week later. I am able to watch these shows over and over again, and I have never done that with any other TV show. Well, maybe with the exception of one famous television hit, "I Love Lucy"; I can watch those reruns continuously as well. Anyone who loves crime drama, and is familiar with CSI's graphic details of C.O.D. (cause of death) will surely enjoy this first season. It gives good background on the characters, how they interact and why they interact the way they do. Grissom is too cool for words as is Sara, (I really like the whole cast...) but I think those two cast members are my favorites though.

I have purchased the CSI series from episode 1 through the first 9 years of the show, I didn't go further than that, not because it wasn't a great show, but because the main 2 characters of Grissom & Sara decided to move on and for me as well as many others they were the heart of the series! But I know many stayed watching the show with new cast members and seems to really like it!

Eine tolle Serie, ich mag das Genre und auch die Besetzung.Leider aber nicht auf Blue Ray erhältlich, daher einen Stern Abzug.

Un libro que todo fans de CSI las Vegas quiere tener en su estantería. Lleno de fotos, anécdotas y mucha información. Os lo recomiendo.

I've always loved this series. I bought this because someone bought me season 5 for Christmas some time ago and figured I'd make a start collecting the others.This is a great series and it shows you why this series has become as popular as it has since release because no other pilot series can grip you like this can.The only slight thing that struck me with this DVD is the quality. Looking back this series aired in 2000, now I was eight at that time and I can't remember the quality of TV being like that. It goes to show how far HD and Blu-Ray has taken us that we can look back at something that was 12 years ago and see the massive difference. The quality is iffy, especially in the light, open scenes like when they are in the desert and things like that. Overall you get used to it but it is pretty obvious at first.
