This is a great product but I regret this purchase and here's why...
This stand is heavy duty and very well constructed. Using it would have cleared up so much space on my desk but It didn't work out. Mine came slightly tilted up as shown in the picture of the item from the side (which they seem to have since removed). This would be fine but I needed to tilt mine downwards for a more comfortable viewing angle. Problem? I couldn't find the torque knob to adjust it. The instructions are so horrible and the diagram shows the stand from one unwieldy angle, It doesn't show you where the knob is or tell you how to get it open (the knob is supposedly covered with a cap). I used everything I could to pry up the cap and no dice. I pretty much damaged the whole plastic cap and I still can't pry it off short of just sawing through the dam thing.I contacted the sellers for more info on just how I was supposed to adjust the torque and never heard back from them. Not one word. I requested a return but even though the problem is with the product I was still being made to pay the return shipping. The cheapest postage I could get would be aprox $22 dollars. That means I would get a little under an $8 return as my initials shipping also wouldn't be re-imbursed. Absolutely not worth it.Also, and this is very important, make sure to check out your hdmi ports. I am using a Vizio LED as my monitor and though these TVs are thin mine happens to have the hdmi port in the middle. The plate that attaches to your display isn't spaced out from the actual stand so I couldn't even plug in my hdmi as there wasn't any wiggle room. Most stands come so that the display, once attached, sits a little away from the arm of the stand, giving you room for all your wires. This does not offer the same functionality. So unless all your ports are on the side, go with something else.If you can adjust the torque so that not only is the height adjustable but the angle as well then this product is well worth the money. But be prepared to possibly loose $20-$40 or use it and suffer through uncomfortable viewing angles. Mine is now collecting dust in my garage. I would say, if you don't want to take chances, buy one that is sold either by or through Amazon as this company could care less about customer satisfaction. Good product, bad seller.

Well made and works perfectly with my 27" monitor
This is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to get my new LG 27" monitor to sit lower on my desktop. This stand is only rated for up to 25" monitors but it worked fine for my 27" as I had no intention of ever mounting it vertically. I have my monitor sitting just 1" off of my desktop so I can see it without needing to tilt my head back and I'm quit happy with it.Others have complained about the heavy and rough base scratching the desk surface but my unit came with a nearly mirror surface plus the bottom had an attached rubber pad, so the monitor sits solid and doesn't move or jiggle, yet it can be easily moved when needed.Installation was a breeze, though I did lay the monitor face down which made things easy and I had no trouble tightening the tilt adjustment with the included allen wrench and all-in-all it's a very well made stand and if I had to do it over, I would buy another one without hesitation. Easy to assemble, built like a tank
My LG monitor's existing stand did not drop down too low. This was a problem once I started using a riser to hide my keyboard/mouse/Mac mini. This stand was an easy replacement. Assembly was very simple. It has a small footprint. It is incredibly solid (also heavy). My only knock against it is that you have to use a hex key to adjust the tilt. Everything else can be loosened/tightened with built-in knobs.

Great mount, cheap stripping screws
The mount itself is extremely sturdy and durable. It extends far enough from the wall that you can swivel a 27 inch monitor with a wide range of motion. I would have given it five stars were it not for the cheap screws that it comes with. These strip so easily its as if they were made of plastic. DO NOT USE THE SCREWS IT COMES WITH. Trust me, you will regret it. You wont even be able to screw/drill it all the way into a stud, let alone remove it. I now have to by an extractor set which will cost me more money than the entire mount. If you're going to buy this mount, which I would recommend as it's a very good mount, do yourself a favor and BUY YOUR OWN SCREWS INSTEAD OF USING THE ONES ENCLOSED IN THE PACKAGE. I really don't understand why the went through the trouble of manufacturing such a solid product only to ruin it by giving cheap screws. I would have gladly paid an extra few bucks for solid screws.

Great space saving replacement
This stand was a life saver when it came to replacing a ridiculously huge stand that came with my new computer monitor. Like many reviews state, the tilt screw is covered by a cap and even with tightening it, one bump and the screen can tilt. But for its compact size and sturdy base, this stand will work perfectly fine for my set up. It easily holds my 27” curved MSI monitor

Fortunately, I had extra VESA mount screws from another ...
Bought this as a returned item to save a few bucks. Item was described as "package damaged." OK, I could live with that, but it was apparent that someone had assembled it, had a hard time adjusting it and damaged the finish on the base. Screws were out of packaging and missing, with one of the base screws and all of the VESA mount screws missing. Fortunately, I had extra VESA mount screws from another project. The height adjustment does not work. It feels as if the previous person that touched it jammed it into the base tube. Since I was able to adjust it up just enough to complete my project, I chose not return the item. If you are not experienced or handy enough, pay full price.I think that this is probably a superior product brand new, but don't buy used.
