Great scale, commercial quality. Works like it's supposed to.
The quality of this scale upon opening, I realized it is definitely up to standards for commercial use. That is what I use it for. The setup is very easy, it has several buttons for memory use. So if you need a price of $9.99 a pound, you can set that as button one for instance. The accuracy is exactly what one needs. The setup was easy, the balance setup was easy. It includes a bubble leveler so that you can make it completely level. You just tweak each leg by twisting clockwise to make it longer or counterclockwise to make it shorter. In a world where they make products to not last, this seems like it will work for a long time. For the price, I don't see a better scale. I definitely recommend this scale! If this helped let me know, it's appreciated!

Great scales with dual displays and green back light
I really like these scales. I bought three of them to sell fish off of my boat . They are nice because they operate on there batterey or power cord . When you plug them in the screen turns brite green . On batterey you can still read the display just fine but the green glow goes away . The weights and measures liked them . They have dual display and all three passed with 80 pounds on them .i have weighted hundreds of thousands of pounds of fish with these scales . They work great I hope this helps

This is a great little scale
This is a great little scale. I would give it a 5 if it was able to measure things to .01 instead of .02. LOVE that it shows the weight of the item on the customer side.

Great for Farmers Market!
This is one handy scale and very accurate. The PC40L is the better professional version of the series compared to the LPC version with less features and smaller top plate. This scale can total different items with different weights and price for purchases with multiple items, which is better than using a calculator and tablet when customers are waiting. The display on this scale is wonderful with back lit LCD which can be turned off to conserve battery life while at market and still remains visible. Size does matter when weighing produce because I can't describe the frustration involved with small scales and produce falling off the side on large orders of tomatoes which is less likely to happen with a large platter. Also as a suggestion, keep a plastic or stainless bowl for round produce and use the tare key to zero its weight for accurate reads and happy customers, for not dropping produce on the ground!

works great. only issue I wish was different is the ...
had same scale for years, still working but needed a 2nd for a 2nd location, works great. only issue I wish was different is the way the scale pulls a tare weight to back out container wt. other scales allow you to enter the tare wt, this scale makes you put empty container on scale, zero out for tare and then calculate items weight. we use scale on a pick your own farm, everyones container is different and you take the wt when the container is full. still works well, just 1 extra step of writing the wt down and then doing the math later. other then that 1 item scale is great and a fraction of the price of the Hobart it replaced.

Easy to operate
Exactly what I was looking for after the scale we had for our farm market quit working after 30 yrs. Easy to operate. Perfect surface to weigh produce on. Very satisfied.

You won't be using this in 30 years
I bought an Amazon Warehouse one of 80# version of this, and the poor thing had been destroyed in shipping. Brackets had their spot welds torn off and were floating free in the box, and the corners of the scale's stainless steel top cover were split open and razor sharp. None of this is the fault of the scale, but it does point out how heavy the cast iron base is. Gives the scale a very solid feel, and to its credit the scale does have easily adjustable feet and a built in bubble for leveling. The reason for my harsh rating is the charger and the internal battery in this thing. The charger is small and cheap, looks exactly like one you'd find with a cheap cell phone 15 years ago. But the real problem is the battery - this thing has a 4v lead-acid battery in it. The battery is accessible, which is good because a lead acid battery is going to need replacing after a bunch of charge/discharge cycles. I've no clue where you'd go to buy a replacement for this battery - maybe the manufacturer sells them? But it's ridiculous to make a nice stainless steel scale that should have a long service life, and then stuff a lead-acid battery in it. Should have a lithium battery. The battery is roughly the size of a kids juice box, and is clearly marked 4V VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) and has the Pb recycle mark on it. Certainly not something I'd be happy about having to maintain.
