Made from birch bark and not corn cobbs, which is great
I like that it's made from birch bark and not corn cobbs! I use xylitol in my homemade toothpaste to prevent cavities.

Tastes good, good for your bones & teeth but wait there's more!
The taste is comparable to regular sugar. But PLEASE don't make the same mistake that I did in thinking it had the benefits without consequences. Nothing in life comes free my friends! I made my coffee this morning and added a few teaspoons of this and went on my merry way. Later, I went to get a coffee refill and put another teaspoon to my not quite empty cup.About an hour or so later...my stomach is making some weird noises to the point I wasn't sure if it was coming from me or not. I'm working from the office but our bathroom is all the way down a very long hall. I sat there, contemplating my life choices. (Because I wasn't sure if I would make it there or not.) After a brief internal discussion & begging with my tummy and sphincter that if they helped me out I would find a way to be better to them, I made the most awkward speed walk to the facilities. I made it, thank you sweet baby Jesus! Some warnings:- this is best in very small doses, so you don't think you're going to die. I kno everywhere you read says it's a 1:1 ratio but whoever came up with that is lying and secretly plotting your death by embarrassment. I would start with less than half to say how your stomach handles it.(If it jacks you up, try Stevia. I've been using stevia for months and never had THIS issue)- I wouldn't say it was painful, but definitely paranoid from the noise and the risk of not making it.- strongly recommend being near a bathroom the first few times u try this, while your body adapts :)- if you have problems "going", put a few teaspoons of this in your coffee and it'll clean you right out!Sweetens the coffee just fine. I bought it because I read it's good for your teeth & bones. A little pricey but considering the health benefits, it's worth it I guess. I bought the bag so I'm going to use it. I'll be more careful going forward.I may or may not bake cakes and cookies for people on my $#it list....

Solution to Keeping My Sweetooth Under Control
I am trying to avoid refined sugar in my diet; however, there are times when I like a little sweetener in my tea and coffee, but I don't want the blood sugar spike that accompanies refined sugar, honey, and even agave. The texture of this brand of Xylitol is grainier than table sugar, which is no big deal because it dissolves easily, and I don't get that gross sugary coating on my teeth or mouth like with refined sugar. The taste is more mild than refined sugar (not sickeningly sweet), but it sweetens enough to satisfy my sweetooth. I am amazed that it comes from birch bark. The calorie count is only 10 per tsp verses 50 for regular sugar. I have not tried other brands of Xylitol, but this Anthony's brand is a win for me. I even had a package sent to my daughter who also has a sweetooth and is cutting down on refined sugar. Yes, it's definitely costlier than table sugar, but since I use it sparingly, I am okay with paying that price; I'm sure the process of converting it from tree bark is more complicated than from sugar cane. Besides, the less sugar I ingest, the less I crave it.Try it! I think you'll like it.

No artificial junk.
I was so glad to find this product because it doesn't have erythritol or any other artificial sweetners. There is growing evidence that erythritol may cause early heart attack and stroke. This very sweet so a little goes a long way.

Using it to Whiten Teeth & improve gum line, & I think it's good!
This is my first time to use Xylitol for whitening teeth. I understand there's a gum & toothpaste, but I thought I'd try this product. I like the taste, it is surprisingly sweet like sugar. First I brush my teeth with baking soda & scrape my tongue with the BreathRx tongue scraper (which is the very best). Then I just put 1/4 tsp of this Xylitol in my mouth & swoosh it around for a minute. Then I brush with the watery-ness created in my mouth. I feel like it is taking my teeth to a higher level of clean. Now my teeth feel like I just came back from the Dentist Cleaning. (Secret: Try using a q-tip to go over your teeth & you'll be amazed at how smooth it will feel!) I hear Xylitol can restore your gum line, which I'm hopeful for. And it's supposed to make your teeth white as well. I like the product so far, & feel hopeful for the results. Highly recommend!
