We are lucky to have these great recordings by an outstanding performer. Eydie Gorme is very pleasant to listen to and her voice is one from the time when America had really great popular singers.

Remastering of Eydie not good - Making it "LOUDER" does not make it better
Ladies& Gentlemen,The selection of songs used for this CD was great. I had all of these on vinyl for years but gave them upin 1995. You couldn't find a better collection of good old American Classical Tin Pan Alley songs, which I call"Standards". I rerecorded them on DAT tape (Digital Audio Tape) and then in later years here in Florida,I burned them in 2005 on CDs, after Audio Filtering with Special Effects Equalizing before burningthem on CDs.However, the word "Remastered" leaves me "Cold"! It doesn't do anything to the music but make it LOUDER,For the first time, Eydie Gorme was "Shouting" the lyrics, and it sounded false and not the Eydie that Ilistened to all these years. I have purchased other "Remastered" CDs like Peggy Lee, but they were muchbetter than the remastering of Eydie. I like Eydie Gorme, and have for the past 50 years, but the remasteredEydie was a disappointment.Eydie on vinyl was excellent, once I removed the ticks and pops using my Equalizer, which by the way is aDC-6 and DC-7. This is a wonderful collection of Ms. Gorme's work. I recently bought a CD of her work at a yard sale, but it was damaged. This two-CD set was an upgrade to that.

何曲か知っている曲がありますが、｢I Wanna Be Loved By You｣がモンローで有名なあの曲だとは思いませんでした。聞いてびっくりしました。まったく別物に聞こえます。あらためてモンローと比べながら歌手ってすごいなぁ~と感じ入ってしまいました。｢Blame It On The Bossa Nova｣は収録されていませんが良いアルバムでした。

This Eydie Gorme 2 CD set, has 49 songs filled with wonderful big band arrangements.She sails through these charts with ease. These beautiful songs take you back to a timewhen songs told a story, and a singer had to know how to sing, and not scream.Eydie is a singer's singer. Enjoy.

EYDIE GORME WAS A WONDERFUL SINGER; THE SONGS ON THE ONE DISK WERE TOO SAD, BUT I DID ENJOY THE SECOND ONE.I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED.
