I bought this to make a mash kettle for brewing, so needed a 3/8" barb fitting for the false bottom tube. I had to go out and buy a 3/8" MPT to 3/8" barbed fitting to make it work. Would have been nice if the description of this product included that bit of info instead of just listing as a 1/2" fitting.

It's a nice bulkhead, but I give it only four stars because it's not stated in the description that the threads opposite the 1/2 inch threads are 3/8 not 1/2. I put the 1/2 inch inside the pot because that is the size of my dip tube, and on the outside I had to order a different push connect fitting because I thought it was 1/2 inch. Other than that, I'm happy with the bulkhead.

Fit and finish are great! Highly recommend.
