Definite buy for your Greenworks tools
Likes: Fair price, good performance, no cords, no gas. Dislikes: Charge time Currently using the 4 AH battery in the 80V Greenworks Pro leaf blower. Also have the 80V String Trimmer and expect awesome performance with that tool next spring. Leaf blower runtime with 4 AH battery: 35 minutes (at 85 degrees F outside temp) Used the "boost" button for maybe 60 seconds total. Comparison: Using 2.5 AH 80V battery, same conditions, got 17 minutes run time. On a 40 degree F day, 2.5 AH battery ran 23 minutes so expect even more run time from the 4 amp battery as the temps drop again. The 2.5 AH battery runs for 30-40 minutes in warmer weather with the string trimmer, depending on how thick the weeds are. I expect 60-70 runtime with the 4 AH battery on the string trimmer. Charge time 4 AH: From fully depleted to full charge, about 50-55 minutes. The 2.5 AH charges in about 25 minutes for comparison. I actually think that's a better runtime to charge time ratio. I just purchased a second 2.5 AH battery because the runtime to charge time ratio is better. I might have to swap them frequently, but there will always be one fully charged by the time one runs out. You might think that sounds like a hassle but compare swapping a battery to mixing oil and fuel, pull starts, or dragging a cord around the yard. You will not be disappointed with Greenworks 80V batteries.

Good customer service.
When my battery died, Greenworks customer service walked me through some troubleshooting with the battery/charger and tool then issued a warranty replacement battery. Although it took a few tries to make contact the total phone time was 15 min to register my tool and battery, troubleshoot, and then receive an order number for my replacement battery. I found the process to be concise and reasonable. I was able to do all of this through their browser chat option. I purchased my 80V Greenworks Leaf blower with 4Ah Lithium battery and charger from a membership store in January of 2023. I really like the functionality of the blower and since it is not gas powered I began keeping it in the house in the closet with the vacuum cleaner. I now blow off my deck and front porch regularly where before I would have only done it occasionally. Last week the blower suddenly stopped working. I realized it was the battery. Fortunately I was able to grab a charged one from my string trimmer. I was dreading the idea that this tool line I was steadily collecting was going to be a disappointment but after this experience I feel confident the brand has the customer service to make their product worth the premium price. I have now purchased this 4 Ah 80V lithium battery as a backup and intend to purchase their lawnmower in the near future. I live in the city and have front, side, and back yards that are big enough to require a real mower but are not simple rectangles. Being able to use all battery powered lawn tools is a complete game changer. This is a product line worth the investment.

Don't skimp and get a knock off battery for Greenworks products!
It is perfect. DO NOT get knock offs for this battery. The machinery will not work properly. It is worth the money to get the manufacturers battery. Little more expensive, but necessary

It charges and works great
I bought a Greenworks Pro at Costco and the original battery lasted only two years. So, I had to purchase another battery, which I thought should have been unnecessary. The old battery doesn't hold a charge very long now so I just keep it as a back up when the new one is charging. I gave it only 4 stars as the old rechargeable should have lasted longer.

Heavy Duty Battery
We have a 40V push mower and bought this as a replacement battery. I was concerned when it arrived as it is longer than their standard 80V battery. It still fits inside the battery holder of the mower just fine and we are looking forward to the extra capacity of this battery. Went with the Greenworks name brand battery after reading some the disappointed reviews of the after market batteries. This is a great battery for stationary equipment like the mower. It is also quite a bit heavier so I don't think I would use it in a tool you have to carry like a weed wacker or blower.

Good to have two of these
This was a second battery for my blower. It’s easy to switch batteries and get my whole yard done.

Extremely Powerful
I use this as a backup battery for the Greenworks Leaf Blower 80V/ 170MPH/ 730CFM which I can’t review here bc I didn’t buy it on Amazon. But the blower and battery are awesome. I got the blower as a Costco special that came with the battery and charger and then bought this to have charging while I use the other one. I have no less than 20 mature white oak trees on half an acre and this pair has cut my yard work in half in terms of time and labor. The blower will move anything you need, wet or dry; leaves, sticks, cats, raccoons, small children. I think this battery actually lasts longer than the one the leaf blower came with from Costco even though the specs said it has a shorter run time. As for the people complaining that the blower was too heavy with the battery, idk what they’re on about unless they’re 5’ tall or elderly. I’m a 5’9 woman not in the best shape and I can carry that thing around for hours. My moms purse weighed more and I used to have to pack that around for her in the mall. Anyway, very happy with the battery. 5 stars.

Very expensive battery, but you need a second battery when you want to work continuously. I am happy that I spend the money on it. Was worth it. Took me 3 years to decide on that. Have the 80 volt chainsaw, which I am very happy with! The battery charges pretty fast, but you always loose the time it takes to charge, and then I have to use my other electrical corded chainsaw, and connect extension chords , or the gas one, which I hate. I am happy that I finally invested in a second battery!

Long working life, Not the lightest but it’s 5 A so it shouldn’t be. Lots of power to cut your lawn or anything else that matters.

Very happy with this battery purchase. It definitely has much more power storage than the original 80V 2.0 Ah batteries and works really well. Fits the original charger without any problem and pops into our lawnmower without any issue. (The cover still closes). Be aware though that it is definitely a few inches longer than the original batteries. This could affect balance on certain shoulder/hand held items such as weed eaters. For lawnmowers and snowblowers though it's definitely a great upgrade.

I use Green Works, leaf blower, snow blower and lawn mower, for a double corner lot. the leaf blower came with a 2 ahr battery, I use the blower and snow blower alot in the winter in Central Alberta. I could just do the yard before the battery was dead, Lawn mower came with a 4 ahr battery, the 2 of them would give me about 15 min of high speed blowing in the cold, I bought an extra battery that I thought was a 5 ahr battery turned out to be a 4 ahr, gave me an extra 15 min of blowing, so I bought this 5 ahr battery, with the 4 of them and 3 battery chargers I get about 3 hrs of snow blowing with the leaf blower, I can cut all the lawns with the lawn mower, or use the snow blower on all my side walks, plus some of the neighbors I will likely order another one this fall
