A gift to mankind!
Pleasantly surprised by this hair Kombucha! First wash I somewhat objected to the fermented smell. But the odor went away soon after I got out of shower. I’ve used it several times since and I don’t even notice it now. I guess because the plus points are so good that I feel I’m doing something so good for my hair and scalp. All the itches and flakes have gone away! My scalp is pink, healthy and happy and the skin on my body feels better too. I was always skeptical when rinsing out my old shampoo with the shampoo suds dripping down and all over my body. No wonder my skin had become so reactive and unhappy! Now the skin on my body is returning to its happy health and I’ve only used about three times! I am so happy to have found this very natural product . I use both the shampoo and conditioner. They leave my hair shinny and bouncy. I was afraid it might be too moisturizing and flatten my natural waves but it makes them come to life with less frizz and softness. Never stop making this product. It’s a gift to mankind!

Good Alternative to Common Brands
Purchased this conditioner to heal scalp issues, as many other common brands contain ingredients that are bad for my particular scalp health (dandruff, seb derm, allergies, etc). First off it does have a sort of mild pungent smell to it, but that’s the trade off for not having any chemical hormone disrupting fragrances, so I can deal with that. Plus the smell doesn’t linger after rinsing/styling. It makes my hair feel very soft, and I have combination 2c/3a curly hair. Detangling is super easy with this conditioner, just as good as any high end conditioner such as Paul Mitchell. I will definitely purchase again, and recommend it if you’re looking for a less toxic alternative to what’s on store shelves.

Really good!
I have 4c natural hair and it actually does work, for the past couple of years I have been trying other products that seem to be reacting badly on my scalp, but this one doesn't at all! Only downside is that I have to use a decent amount, as it is a little watery but I would rather that, than a bunch of ingredients that are reacting badly on my scalp. It doesn't smell that bad as others are saying. But it definitely could smell better.

Love this Conditioner!
I will say I am low maintenance when it comes to washing my hair, I have a local hairdresser that has a haircare package that I use religiously. I am a big fan of conditioners, co-wash and moisturizing. I found this product and liked that is was all natural, quality and safe ingredients that I could actually read/understand. Left my hair smooth, soft and very lightweight, especially with my hair texture. Easy for me to brush and detangle my hair as well (that's a big thing for me). I will say that it does say "unscented" and it does have a faint scent of vinegar that quickly goes away when washing. I do like that it does not leave a greasy, filmy and heavy residue on your hair like some products do. One thing I did notice that is a small downside, is it made my hair a bit drier than usual, nothing that a moisturizer couldn't fix to restore my hydration. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the product, will continue to use it and looking forward to see what other benefits come from using this conditioner!

Leaves my hair feeling softer
My hair is think, curly and rather dry so I can only wash it every two or three days. This Nature Sustain product leaves my hair feeling softer so that when I do have to wash it more often during the summer, it does not feel like straw. I also found that I do not need to add anything else to my hair to make it soft. I just purchased another bottle and also the shampoo. Have not found any other product that is Organic, works and is within by budget. I would recommend it.

Some Pros & Some Cons
Pros: *limited ingredients *natural ingredients *eco-friendly *good results in texture Cons: *smell *consistency *mediocre results in appearance *PRICE First, the smell...I presume "unscented" means there are no added fragrances; it certainly does not mean the product has no scent. It smells like apple cider vinegar, which I find unpleasant. Fortunately, the scent doesn't seem to linger once the product is rinsed out, so that is a partially redeeming factor. As you can see in the photo, my hair (air-dried, without styling products) looks nice and soft. It did feel soft, too. Nevertheless, I was only moderately satisfied with the overall appearance, but this is primarily due to personal preference. My hair is thin and fine, and tends to have zero volume at the roots; therefore, I generally seek products that help to increase volume. This product does not contribute to volume at all. Truthfully, all of the things I didn't love about it are probably a direct result of all the things I did love about it. That is to say, there is a trade-off for the eco-friendly, natural ingredients, with no added chemicals. I'm guessing that the qualities I look for in my hair products (thick, creamy conditioner, with a nice perfumed fragrance, that I can really feel coating and penetrating my hair) are probably a result of all those synthetic chemicals. Ultimately, my review is greatly guided by my personal preferences, and my individual needs. Though it isn't exactly right for me, I do think this product would be ideal for many people, especially those who are seeking products as close to nature as possible. The one complaint I have that I believe transcends personal hair preferences is the cost. $23.95 for 9 fl. oz. is expensive, even more expensive than many salon-quality brands (i.e., a 9.5 fl. oz. bottle of Biolage conditioning balm is $16.15 here on Amazon). This price is even more considerable when you take into account the consistency, which is thinner than most other conditioners out there; I can imagine you might run out of this more quickly than other products.
