I was concerned about the price but it is well worth it! That being said- it is meant to be portable so the tray is small. But the amount and variety of the figurines are great! It is a very organized system with a great carrier if you need that

Great set for work in the field. I use this for grief and trauma work with adults and kids. It has most of the resources to get started. You can add to it as you specialize. It would have been great to have the sand rakes etc but those are cheap to add.

Great starter kit! A really good deal on a large collection of miniatures! Highly recommend.

I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapy intern and I decided to get my own Sandtray kit after being trained in the use of sandtrays. First of all, there is an amazing selection of figurines and in my opinion, this is more than a start-up kit. The children I work with love this kit and the adults describe the experience as life-changing. Since I provide home and community-based services, the portability of this kit has been a blessing. It is not too heavy to carry around, and everything is just neatly packed. The figurines are sorted into little bags (career people, army men, animals, fairytale characters, buildings, plants, knights, etc. The sand does not spill when carried around. Although this kit is veeerrryyyy... expensive, I consider it a worthy investment. If you are considering getting this set, just do it. You won't regret it. FYI: it is smaller than the typical sandtray and the figurines are smaller too, but this is because they are made to be carried around.

I'm a new professional counselor and have found this kit to be a huge success with the children I work with. However, the bag's seam ripped very easily after just a few months of owning it. Thankfully the bag still works, but given how expensive this kit is, I'm quite disappointed that the bag would rip so easily. The quality of the miniatures and diversity has been so helpful. I would recommend this kit primarily for the sake of the amount and quality of the miniatures.

I am an Art Therapy intern. I have been using this set for about 3 months.The carrying case has been a life saver seeing as how I travel with my supplies. It has side slots and allows me to add just a few added items to the bag. The set featured a great variety. I was ambitious and purchased a few extra pieces that I thought would not be included but much to my surprise...THEY WERE! So just wait it out and take inventory. Some of the pieces were not smooth because a little piece of plastic was sticking out from it. No worries, it was easy to shave it off without damaging the pieces. I loved that it included such a large selection, life, death, fantasy, wildlife, nature and ambiguous pieces. The pack also came with some spiritual/religious pieces. This was great as I work with several Christians and it has come in handy. To be more culturally diverse, I wish that it included 1 or 2 pieces, minimum, from other religions.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of toys I got when I opened the kit. When I read previous postings in making my buying decision I was worried about dollar store level quality of toys, but they are actually quite good toys. It is a perfect mobile kit for my small office and when I go out into the community. I also figure into the cost the time and expense of searching down all these items myself over time and this kit was definitely a good value.

I was quite disappointed when received the order. The box is half size if not smaller of the standard sandplay box and the figures are absolutely tiny made of cheap plastic. The only thing that keeps me hopeful that it is not a waste of money is it's portability. Half of the figures are soldiers of different description. I am yet to see that it is suitable for adults. Instead of several kilos of sand I would have appreciated more figures of better quality, I can buy sand locally triple the size for £5. As an update it is a good product, I can appreciate it's functionality and portability. It was to unfair of me to judge relying on my first impressions. I appreciate the set now because it does the job. Some items were replaced from my collection, some items were not used, but overall, it is good.
