Beautiful set

Inaugurated this beautiful mahjong set today with friends. Everyone loved how pretty it is and they were all envious of me! Mission accomplished! The swimming koi on the backs of the tiles are very unique. I use a dark blue felt table cloth so they will look like they are swimming in water--it's a lovely effect. The tiles are very, very slightly shorter than the sets my friends have from the National Mahjong League and they are just a little tiny bit lighter. They still feel good in the hand and not in any way cheap. Naturally I dropped one on the tile floor where we were playing, but it stood up to the abuse very well. The designs on the tiles are bold and the blue color is especially very striking. The wooden case and racks are very well made as are the interior boxes. This product arrived promptly and was well packaged. I am truly pleased with it and look forward to many years of enjoyment with it.

This set was a beauty. My wife was pleased with it for a gift. However, one little piece was defective. The company was responsive but was unable to offer a solution acceptable to us. So we returned it.

I sent this set to my mother as a birthday present and she was very pleased with the quality and the beauty of the case and tiles. She has been hosting a group for a while and is super happy to have her own set. This was pricier than other sets but worth in my opinion. You can't go wrong picking this set.

Two of the acrylic tile pushers were broken. Contacted the company and they sent replacements. Customer service is top notch. Would have preferred wooden pushers. It can be annoying to assemble and I don't use those money tokens. Overall a beautiful set.

The Mahogony Mahjong set is beautiful. I received it for Christmas and used it today for the first time. I did have a problem with one of the pushers. When I placed it on top of the rack it was up high and I pushed it down a bit. As a result, when I tried to store everything in the case the pusher wouldn't come off the rack. I had to bring the rack and pusher home out of the box and use pliers to separate them. I now need a new black rubber tip as the original one is no longer smooth. The plexiglas hole wasjust a wee bit too small. My friends all thought the set was very impressive and enjoyed playing Mahjong with it.

I received my set that was largely in good shape; however, two of the pushers were broken (each was in two pieces). I glued them together so I could play the game and let Yellow Mountain know, assuming they would replace the broken ones with new ones. Once we actually connected, they remedied the broken pushers issue and exceeded my expectations in resolving the problem. Recovery from problems is really important. They did that, and I am revising my review accordingly--I am now a very happy purchaser!

Fast Delivery; arrived 2 days early! Suitcase is sturdy and fits everything inside it well. The tiles, while slightly smaller than the advertised dimensions, are of great quality. The backing is gorgeous and the general paint job is nicely aligned with no smears. The case contained simple instructions for American Mah Jong, as well. My only complaint is that the coins used for keeping score are made from cheap plastic and look nothing like the advertised, metal looking medallions. All in all, a good American mahjong set. As seen in the pictures, No Riichi Mahjong red Dora 5s though. Thought it was worth mentioning.

I love my new Mah Jong set, especially the koi fish on the back of the tiles! They are really pretty. The whole set is of the highest quality and everyone enjoys playing with it.
