Genuine Subaru J3610FS030 Touch-Up Paint, Aegean Blue Metallic, Paint code 340

Easy to work with. It also matches existing color perfectly along with the right mix of metal flakes for the metallic factor paint. It spreads out pretty well and fills scratches better than other touch up paints I've worked with. Looks near-perfect when combined with wet sanding and polishing. The only downside is that its adhesion to primer is not quite as good, even with a well prepped surface. It may take several coats to do the job.I also love that this touch-up "pen" comes with an abrasive tip for prep, narrow plastic needle for cleaning out scratches, and the paint itself is applied with a good brush attached to the cap.

I have not used this to touch up my car yet. I'll update the review when I do. It looks great- little ceramic pen tip for cleaning up scratches, color matched paint, AND clear coat. Pretty cool.BUYER BEWARE: When I received my pen it was inside a small Subaru branded box that Amazon had put a large white inventory sticker on. This sticker covered up a key diagram of the pen that shows where the paints are in the pen and which side should be pointed up when you open it. The "rocket fin" side is the TOP which is kind of counter-intuitive. The gray rounder side is the BOTTOM. The rocket fins are there so that you can flip the pen upside down for storage (maybe this is better for brush storage? I don't know).Because the sticker covered the diagram on the box of my pen, I accidentally opened the reservoir for the clear coat with the pen upside down and I spilled it. Because the reservoirs are opaque, there is no way for me to tell how much or how little is left. Learn from my mistake.

The brush for the paint and the foam pad for the clear-coat are not user friendly. They work but you will do better work and save some time finishing if you have or purchase fine touch up brushes. The paint match is perfect! if you just want to cover a scratch or chip this will do the trick to protect your car from further rust or damage. If you are a perfectionist you will also want some 2500/3000 grit wet/dry sand paper, rubbing compound, polishing compound and car wax or ceramic sealer surfactant.

Although it's genuine SUBARU paint J361SXA030 the code No. listed on the touch-up bottle says 69K instead of A9K listed on Amazon. I think it's the same product based on the Subaru part numbers being identical. I found that the Harvest Gold Metallic touch-up paint does NOT match to the original paint when it's applied to the car but is a close enough match to acceptable although the differences between paints are noticeable, with the touch-up being lighter in color and less metallic than the original paint on the car. I might look into getting a spray paint next time to see if it matches my car paint better. Great shipping from this seller. NO problems. Great price compared to ordering it from a local Subaru dealership.

Didn't care for the product design. It's not readily apparent which part holds the top coat and the color. Color did match the paint code, but this really is just for nicks and small scratches as there's not much of the color paint in the reservoir.

We have a 2015 Subaru Forester in metallic grey. We noticed a couple very light scratches and dings from rocks and wear and tear. My husband really wanted to try to use a touch up paint to fix them himself. He found this on Amazon so we have it a try. We are very pleased with the results. The scratches were not really deep but the paint worked wonderful. The color is perfect and you don't notice the scratches anymore at all. Would definitely recommend for minor scratches and dings!

Unsure about the "sheernesss" question above. Paint applied easily and covered stone chips very well. Pretty good match in color.
