Great product and keeps our pool warm
We have a 600 ft.² inground pool with a heater. Living in South Florida. There’s only a couple months a year where this is neede. we used to use a big tarp looking thing that came on the spindle that you rolled out over the entire pool. It worked OK, but it was so difficult to put on and then takeoff. With these 2 pound inflatable toppers, our pool evaporation has gone to almost nil, where we usually lose about 6 to 10 gallons a day. Since it’s winter, we can heat our large pool up to about 90° and overnight with the temperature of 70° outside, the pool is only losing about 2°. If you do have a large pool, it does take quite a few of these to cover it - in our case 12. But if you enjoy a warm pool in the winter time, highly recommend for both your electricity bill and your water bill.

WASTE OF MONEY
Don't waste your money. I bought two last October and just opened them for the summer. One had a hole in it and the other one will not lay flat. It's bent on two sides. They are so small you need 10-20 to cover your pool. I emailed the company with no response.

Works with the right conditions
We have an Intex above ground pool, 4 ft high and 16 ft wide in diameter - located in the Midwest, northwest suburb Chicago land area. We bought 7 of these to almost perfectly cover the whole pool. The reason we bought this was to mainly provide some additional heat but also to prevent heat loss and evaporation overnight. Regarding heat, we can have up to a 10 degree (F) difference as long as there is sun. No sun, not that much of a difference. We have also seen a difference to how much water is saved overnight not to mention the heat as well. We have had 2 weeks of straight high 80s-90s with partly sunny to all sunny days and have only noticed less than a 1/4 in if water and have not yet needed to refill. Prior to the rings, I probably would have lossed an inch or inch and a half with these same conditions. Out of the two years we’ve had them, we have had one with a leak in the middle section and will be purchasing another one to replace it. Another huge thing is to at least clean the top surface of them so that when there is sun, it can directly penetrate and do its thing. I plan to quickly wash them at least once every 3 weeks or once a month. It may seem a lot of work but we don’t want to buy a heater. In the near future, looking at doing a DIY water heater with some copper and a wood burning fire pit. Until then, this will do.

Too expensive for what you get
One of the solar rings has a slow leak and does not hold air for very long. They heat the pool up a few degrees but not as well as a full-size solar cover. We live where the nights are cool, so probably need something a little more heavy-duty. Pretty expensive as well. We will probably only use them for one summer and then switch back to what we used before.

Revising rating due to quick response and action taken by Pool Supply World
The product works well and heats my pool. I purchase new rings yearly because they WORK! I had an issue with two of the rings I purchased in April but did not open box and blow them up until recently. Two of the rings did not hold the air. I was impressed by the quick response and action taken by Pool Supply World. Response received today, replacements shipped. THANK YOU

They work...
Ok, so let me tell you about these rings...I was skeptical, however, my neighbor had them in her inground pool and she said they work. So I tried them, I needed 5 based on the size of my pool. It takes a few days to rise dramatically, however the temperature does rise. You must have sunshine for solar anything, and this has not been a sunny summer thus far in the Midwest. You must NOT overinflate, read the instructions, that is key. The best thing about this system is that I can handle the solar rings without killing myself over the giant solar cover AND it doesn’t wreck havoc on my pool chemistry. Less chemicals are needed each week because the pool can breathe. No algae, no drama, and I can place and remove these rings very easily on my own. The seller was awesome as one of them had a defect, they immediately shipped another one with no drama. Good experience all around, I recommend them.

WASTE OF MONEY
NO Stars !! Don't waste your money , product will not lay flat wind keeps blowing it out of the pool !! It curls up bad and I plan to let all air out of it tonight and will see if it stays in the pool and helps the water temp stay more level !

Don’t notice a difference in temperature in my pool and instructions were difficult. Looked at a few how to online videos and you can’t inflate it too much and for the cost, I found it ineffective and expensive

Not fit for purpose

Odd product. Catches every leaf and bug in the surrounding area. Floats freely and does not blow out of pool. Several of them together would be hard to lift in and out of the pool. Have not decided if I will buy more or not
