My little granddaughter loves this puzzle. She is in a musical family and she had a blast out of hearing the different music each piece played from the same song. Great way along with a parent to learn the name of a variety of different instruments also. My only complaint is the song starts when the piece hovers over the picture it matches up with so at first, she just wanted to listen to the music and didn't work at getting the pieces lined up right to fit into the puzzle. However, over time she has become very good at putting the pieces in so that worked out just fine.

Puzzle is a good quality, my kids love it

My year old grandson likes this puzzle and the sounds it makes. It is sturdy. He can't put the pieces back in exactly right yet, so it's nice that the instrument's sound will play even when the piece is just hovering over the place it goes. The only problem is that my daughter-in-law says it will sometimes play some of the musical sounds when no one is playing with it.

Have always loved these puzzles by Melissa & Doug but these new versions don't work well without a bright light source. So if your home is not super well lite these will have trouble working. However, my 10 month old son loves these regardless! See video of old model vs newer in a pretty well lite room. Working batteries in place & turned on. & If puzzle pieces are not in place when you go to turn light off they all will go off - be aware for sleeping baby. LoL!

We have a few of these puzzles and they are my kids favorite. The sounds are loud enough but not TOO loud that they become obnoxious. The pieces fit nicely into their spots and come out easy enough. It's nice for him to get to learn about various instruments as well. The only bad thing I can think of to say is that in order for the sounds to work there needs to be decent lighting. Something about the sensors on the puzzle need to see light before you cover them back up in order to trigger the sound. The sounds can also be triggered without putting the pieces back just by motion. We highly recommend these books for anyone with kids. Great fun and a good learning tool.

The noises from the musical instruments do not work consistently. Very frustrating for our special Needs son.

Sometimes the sound is loud, and at times it's too low. I didn't wish to get into the return hassle hence kept the product. You can easily let go this one

The king and queen of early puzzles. My students play with this endlessly in my music class. High quality and durability with an excellent cueing system for early learners. Not too busy a platform makes it easier to note the contrasts and matching shapes. The audio is fun for the kids as they subtly are exposed to instruments.

Although board and pieces themselves are a good quality the sound mechanism does not work. Piano was the only one that worked each time, couple the others worked occasionally as for the rest none of them worked.
