Bought this product back in 2019 I believe, didn’t like it at first so I kind of pushed it to the back and forgot about it. It was okay at the time just not amazing. I recently rediscovered it and thought to give it a try to seal in my moisture. Since I initially purchased it I have found a combination of products that actually work really well for my hair and that I actually continue to buy. If I do stray away it’s purely for cost reasons. Anyways let me just say WOW. I use African pride leave in condition and put this on top. My hair be so soft, moisturized, curly, and also shiny! My hair naturally has a sheen to it not shine and this really helps with the shine! I tried a new combination of products and noticed a difference in feeling, curls, and shine. I Will continue to use my leave in and this product from now on. The scent is good not too over baring. I am sensitive to scents and this one isn’t too much for me. The consistency is kind of like a whipped she’s butter. I don’t keep it in warm spots so idk if it melts to a liquid. Idk I like the consistency of it my hair prefers thicker products. I never do wash and gos and don’t wear my hair out so idk how it works with that. I almost always do mini braids and sometimes mini twist but my ends do spiral up nicely. Overall great product will be repurchasing.

It's very difficult to fine a product that not only provides your hair with moisture BUT also helps it to look goooood! I'm extremely content with this product. It smells good, feels good, and provides my thirsty hair with the moisture that it needs on a daily basis. My hair no longer looks like it is im a drought. After applying this amazing product, I spritz my hair lightly with water, and flat twists my hair. When I took it out the next day, I was amazed!!! My hair looked like I just got combed it. Yes, that good.🤗 Alikay Shea Yogurt will be a staple of mine-no doubts about it.

I know it's labeled as a moisturizer, but it's not truly. Moisture=water, and this product has no water in it. However, it is full of very good ingredients for your hair that will retain the moisture that you add prior to using it. Don't put it on dry hair and expect stellar results. I use it in my hair after using Paul Mitchell: The Conditioner as a leave-in. Then I style with Eco Styler Gel. They all play well together (which is great because some products don't mix and leave the dreaded white residue in your hair). The result is that I can wear my hair all week and my hair stays well moisturized. For how I use it, this product lasts a very long time. I love the consistency. It's lightly whipped, easy to spread on your hands (turns oily) and through your hair. And it smells great to me. It's a perfect sealant and I plan to continue to buy it as long as they're making it.

I bought this product on recommendation and have used it once so far ... It's not a whipped consistency but it's much better than one I had bought here before. This melts a little faster when you rub your hands. I applied it to the tips of my hair ... I think I know for sure if it's worth the rating I gave it after 2-3 weeks of use. That's why I only give it 3 stars. With regards to the packaging... It was very well packaged and tightly sealed in plastic. Update.: this is actually a very good product, it really moisturizes my scalp and I have found that mixing it with other products does wonders for my hair as well.

I have type 4b/4c hair and use this for my twist out. Pros: Makes my hair soft and smooth while I twist and creates great shine, softness, and definition after my twists are dry. My hair stays moisturized for 3-4 days after. It also smells so yummy but not too strong - I get compliments on how great my hair smells. Con: TOO DARN GREASY!!! The jar even warns you not to use too much and pat your hair with paper towels to remove excess. I try not to use too much as a result. But it’s still oily. If you have thin hair it may be too heavy. I have thick hair but the greasiness is the problem. I avoid laying my head against things so I don’t leave an oily stain or touch my hair. Verdict: It is such a great product and I hope they solve this issue. Not sure I will repurchase until the .

My 3 year-old is allergic to almost everything! She is biracial and has dry, very tightly curled hair, so I have tried what seems like a million products on her, and she is allergic to all of them. I finally went pure and started making my own spray in oils and butters because she could only tolerate pure, organic oils and butters. However, I saw this and read that it was almost completely pure, so I tried it. She is NOT allergic to it and it's AMAZING on her hair! It keeps it soft for days and doesn't weigh it down. I've read several reviews that said it was too oily, but I have not had this experience. I put it on her hair right after I rinse out the conditioner. I detangle while she's in the bath with conditioner in her hair, then rinse it out, apply this product, and follow it with a light oil. It's wonderful! And her hair is soft and curly. When she wakes in the morning and has crazy bed hair, I spritz with some water mixed with a little coconut oil and fluff it. I love, love, love this stuff!! Highly recommend!

This is the best stuff in the world for thick and coarse African American hair. I have been using it for about 10 years, but it is very difficult to find in stores. It's not cheap, but it is worth it to me.

I started using this product a few months ago and it is phenomenal. I have natural hair and usually wear wigs or braids during the winter and have my hair out during the summer. In the summer I found that it was nourishing without making my hair greasy. In the winter it has protected it from damage and has helped with grow. The texture is very light and it smells very good. It greatly simplified my routine (I used to mix many of the ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil etc).

Unbelievable! My hair is so dry! Has been my entire life. Nothing seemed to make it remotely touchable. Until I received this shipment... at first I was like “whoa, that’s expensive” I did my was routine... and used Shea Yogurt... amazing! It’s 3 days later and my hair is still soft! Love this product

I really love this. I currently use this on my daughter's hair, believe it or not when you rub it in the palm of your hand it's more like an oil. It leaves her hair nice and moist and it's even thickened over time.
