Macro Phone Lens 10X&20X Clip on Macro Lens for iPhone iPad Samsung and All Smartphone with Travel Bag (Red)

I was actually surprised by how good this clip-on lens is. I use it when I'm in the field with my naturalist students and graduates. It works like a loupe, so you have to practically lay the lens down on the subject to get a clear macro shot, but the image you get from it is very good. I use it with my Samsung Note 9. When you use it, make sure you've got it clipped on correctly so the lens doesn't shift and then lens's "eye" is aligned correctly with the lens on your phone. I also like the fact that the cup around the macro lens is clear so enough light is let in to get a good shot. In the photos you can see mite galls on a Black Walnut leaf seen with a regular lens and then with the macro lens.

Very good quality optics. There are lots of cheaper macro lens, but this one is definitely worth the extra money

The color of the lens shows in picture. I need a clean picture to verify my coin is the same coin that I submitted for grading (PCGS).

iPhone XR - I was using it to take macro / magnified shots of plant leaves and it had the dual problem of being constructed such that the flash really isn't usable and it is so close it blocks the light. Only a very small section of the photo was ever in focus. I went back to using my cheap plastic LED lit jewelers loop and taking pictures through that with the phone camera. That works lots better.

You need to literally be right next to your subject to take a (questionably) usable photo. This is just impossible to use. If only the magnification wasn't that extreme and allow a photo to be taken from a distance and not right next to the subject.
