World of Warcraft Keyset for Zboard Keyboard

What a great idea, interchangeable keyset inserts for all the best computer games. This keyset was well engineered for playing WOW. Just about everything was in a good spot in the default mode. It is really easy to change keys to maximize your gaming experience. Overall, it is a great asset to computer gaming.

I use this as my primary keyset. Partly because I am too lazy to switch it out, but also because it functions very well as a normal keyboard. Im typing on it right now as a matter of fact. It adds a lot of hotkey functionality to WoW and once you get used to it you will wonder how you played WoW without it. My only complaint (hence 4 stars) is that the lettering wore off a few of the keys. The odd thing was that the keys that wore off weren't even keys that I used the most. Other than that though its a worthwhile keyboard.

Okay, I have to admit I'm a 44yr old mother and I'm hooked on WOW! I was very happy with the purchase, but was disappointed when I received the Zboard a good week before the WOW board! It was hard to live knowing that part of my toy was there, but I couldn't use it until the rest of it arrived.

I've been an avid WOW player for several years. We bought this hoping for some advantage. It's kind of nice to have some of the macro setup that this board offers but the first time it got unplugged from the PC during a cleaning session the damn thing never worked right again. Must have caused an ESD and fried the electronics in it. Before that I found I still had the built in reflex actions from a regular keyboard and I just simply kept playing the way I had so the macro advantage was wasted. I did replace it with the Logitech G15 board and it just plainly blows this board away. Best board I've ever used. Don't buy this if you can afford the G15, besides there's an addon for the G15 that makes thing even easier if you get the hang of it.

Adding this keyset makes the game easier by placing most of the essential functions within reach. Playing the game will be much easier when everything is clearly labeled. Most of the commands are in a separate area to the right of the main keyboard layout which makes it easier to concentrate on the game and not on setting and activating keystrokes and combinations. There is one review that really brings this keyset and keyboard down, but who wants to take the time to manually map out each and every option and feature to the keys of a regular keyboard. Not only is it time consuming, but also playing the game can be harder trying to remember where that key you programmed was. Other features of the keyset are the raised arrow keys on the right where the preset functions are. Due to the shape and size, make character movements much easier than moving your character with standard arrow keys found on a regular keyboard.

I have messed around with Zboards before. They're a stupid idea that really doesn't have any application in the PC industry. If you don't know how to map keys where you want them and maximize your control over the game using a standard qwerty keyboard then you might want to reconsider your foray into PC gaming. This board has no more functionality than a normal QWERTY keyboard, and if you know how to type, it actually creates an alien keying experience as you relearn where the keys are in reference to your rested hand position. Don't spend the money here. Buy a decent, mid priced keyboard instead. It will last you years and you won't have to worry about dumping money worthlessly into new keyboards for each game you play. This product is a perfect example of corporate band-wagoning in an attempt to exploit customers for every last cent with irrelevant and useless products. Don't let them take advantage of you.

I didnt like the key layout of this for my play style. if your a left hound mouse right hand keyboard which I have never met one maybe you will enjoy this but I like the old plain zboard set better.
