Use the proper wire connectors and wiring.
The breaker works good for my DIY Solar powered system. Be sure to use the correct size wire connector and wire size for the application. I used a smaller connector and had to drill the hole a little larger. This left a smaller amount of the connector making contact with the post. The wire and entire unit got warm and kept tripping. Once I changed the connectors and size of the wire out, everything thing is better. Much cooler and does not trip any more.

Very heavy duty and sturdily built.
I like the compact size and how easy it is to reset (and use as an emergency cutoff). The studs where you connect wires are 3/8", so be sure that the lugs or ring terminals on your wires are the right size. I had to redo one end of a 1/0 cable because the copper lug was only 5/16". I replaced it with a 3/8" lug and all was fine. This device looks to be very sturdy. It only takes two screws to mount it, but you'll have to supply those. I used #12 x 1". You may want a different length depending on how you install it.

Not as robust as the American made version.
Very small size. Appears it was designed for a motorcycle but was being promoted as marine grade. Not equivalent to the American made marine breaker, but it is almost half the price so you get what you pay for. Check with me in a year and I will let you know it if can handle a marine environment.

Not suitable for a marine environment.
Item installed easy. Worked as it should initially. I used it for a trolling motor breaker. After fishing each time I would turn the breaker off so no power was being delivered to the front of the boat at the plug for trolling motor. Within 2 months rivets rusted, inside mechanical workings fell apart and will not work. Don’t waste your time and money with this product. You will be replacing because the material used to construct the breaker will not hold up in a marine environment.

Good breaker, and good switch too.
I use this as DC breaker and cutoff for a solar test platform. It works great and sees a lot of use. I purposely pushed it to it's limit and it pops dead on the money for the right amperage, and it does double duty as an on off switch. I have found a number of breakers that don't like to be toggled on and off a lot, this one doesn't mind. I couldn't have asked for much more so far!
