Thought it would be dumb but genuinely surprised, loved it and the array of colours.
Cosmic Ghost Rider: Baby Thanos Must Die collects Cosmic Ghost Rider #1-5 (2018) and material from Thanos Legacy #1. Written by Donny Cates and art from Dylan Burnett. I should mention I bought this digitally so I can't comment on any physical aspect of the comic. My experience with Ghost Rider is very limited, having only read Daniel Way's run of Ghost Rider I took a chance and bought this digitally, before I bought this I thought it would be dumb but I must say, it was a pleasant surprise. The story is, Frank Castle (who I had no idea was Ghost Rider) unhappy in Valhalla is sent back into the past by Odin, Frank in the past decides to try and change the world by kidnapping and raising a 3 year old Thanos hoping that keeping violence away from him could help him grow up to be different. I must say I was expecting a serious story and I'm glad it wasn't, it was fun, comical and outlandish...and I loved it. There were some parts where I did genuinely laugh to myself and grin. I found the story amusing and the fact the story doesn't try to be super serious (for the most part) helps. I also must say the first thing I noticed and appreciated about this collection is the vibrant array of colours used and even on single pages it's impressive and really stood out to me. The artwork is great but some characters weren't to my preference but everyone has different tastes. Overall is say if you want a comical and amusing read with colourful artwork this is a definite pickup for a reasonable price, I'd say give it a chance, you might just be surprised the same as I was. Hopefully you found this review helpful and happy reading.

Would you?
I was quite disappointed in this comic really. The back story I found more interesting than the actual story. The best thing I liked about this story is the comic is the art work. Also small things like Cable getting older every time he comes back from the future. As good as he look in Ghost Rider form. The part that annoyes me his language. Can any really picture a cosmic spirit of vengeance calling someone "dude"? Ok if anyone was to be changed into a Spirit of Vengeance it would be the Punisher. The one of the many confusing things in this comic is in human form he seems very much like you would expect displaying his violent tendencies, but in Ghost Rider form he is pretty much all about restraint, and talkinging like at teenager (yes I mentioned it again, it really annoyes me). The question asked in this book is if you had a chance to kill a the baby version of the vicious mass murderer in the universe while they were a baby would you? I would have actually preferred if the showed the adventures or the origin of this Frank became the Ghost Rider to the Cosmic Ghost Rider rather the this mixed bag of a story. Sometimes great artwork is not enough.

Deadpool in space.
Yes, it's meant to be Frank Castle in the lead role but it reads like Wade Wilson. When the character originally appeared in the Thanos title he was fresh and something new. However it's taken little to no time to turn him into Deadpool in space. And unfortunately the book takes the light hearted approach as he tries to change the ways of an infant Thanos. And of course hilarity ensues......well it doesn't really. The house that ran out of ideas is just churning the same old garbage out with a new face who already feels tired.

This is a really fun story with great art. While the story stands alone, it should be noted that the Cosmic Ghost Rider was originally released in the comic called Thanos Wins and I highly recommend picking up that book first. It is also by Donny Cates, who is poised to be Marvel's Next Top Talent. Cosmic Ghost Rider's origin is explained there, but if you don't want to grab Thanos Wins at least read the origin part which was made available online as a preview when the comic was first coming out, should be easy enough to find. Anyway, this story is a bit sillier than typical Marvel fare but also has some truly epic action so it was the perfect balance for me. As the title implies, this is a cosmic title through and through, with many familiar faces from across the cosmos checking in. Very satisfying story that will also make you rethink Thanos a bit. The only downside of the book is the last issue, which is a somewhat unrelated Thanos annual. Cosmic Ghost Rider barely appears in it, the artist is different and inferior, and the whole annual is just to set up some other thing. The main Cosmic Ghost Rider story was well wrapped up but this issue at the end left an unsatisfying taste in my mouth. That is not a big deal because it is really just a bonus, and since the main Cosmic Ghost Rider was as great as I expected I still gave it 5 stars. This is the first TPB I preordered months in advance so I had very high hopes going into it and was not disappointed.
