Sanuk Beer Cozy Primo - Men Sandals

This is my second set of this exact Flip flop. My wife purchased the first pair several years ago when we were in Costa Rica on vacation. I still have them and use them for work around the house. They held up to very heavy use for 3-4 years. The only sign of wear is the sole surface and where my 200 lbs of weight are focused on my heals.I really like these flip flops.

These have been my go-to flip flops for about a decade. Super comfortable and well constructed.

I finally received the real leather strap Sanuks again (on the right in the attached pictures)! I must have been sent fake ones last time (2019) with plastic/fake leather straps, but chalked it up to a new (read cheaper) design. I went back to my last order and noticed that it was not shipped by Amazon, but a different vendor (Shopsmartoutlet). This time I also went to the official Sanuk page before I ordered to verify that the Beer Cozy Primo (Model SMS2468) are indeed supposed to be the ones with real leather straps. Lesson learned, if it looks like a duck…The color of the leather on mine is a bit lighter than the product pictures here and on the Sanuk website indicate, but I guess that can be expected with real leather. I like them though. They fit as expected and are super comfortable.

I was thrilled to find a reasonably priced flip flop that both came in a size 14 and was reasonably wide. So many flip flops are cut quiet narrow and it is nearly impossible to find a wide flip flop for my husband's Fred Flintstone feet. These worked out well because the foot bed is wider than most flip flops (like Nike) the straps are also set farther apart (almost to the very edge of the sole) so the flip flops are much more comfortable for him. So if you have a big fairly wide foot, I would suggest these flip flops. He has only had them for a few weeks so I can't review the durability but as for sizing and comfort we are very pleased.

I like the idea of sandals but always felt that they were uncomfortable, that is until I bought these. These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. They are called beer coozie but I think thats just marketing, they are the same material as the female "yoga mat" Sanuks. After a year of owning these the padding compacted quite a bit, to the point where the heel was extremely thin and the straps seemed loose. I happily bought these a second time.I would recommend dropping the extra couple of bucks to get the "primo" leather straps they look much nicer than the vinyl looking straps on the cheaper pair. They also age very nicely I feel guilty tossing my old sandals because while they might not be as comfortable as my new ones they still look great.Are you still reading this??? Go buy them and don't size up as some reviews about sanuks recommend, these are true to size.

The challenge of the decade! I wear flip flops or sandals about 6 months if the year, all day if possible. I usually get about three years out if a good pair. Well my mast reefs went onto 5 years! So you're probably thinking, why did I not just buy another pair of reefs? Well someone, like me, very similar experience with reefs, was given a pair of Sanuks as a gift. He wouldn't stop talking about them, how great they were! Well I was in need of a new sent of flip flops and thought I try them out. Well my friends they sure have the comfort-thing down! Extremely comfortable! And i'm a big guy, not that big but big. Cushy and supportive! Now to see if they last at least three years. (Check back in three to five years to find out. Or enjoy the luxury of Sanuk on your own feet until then)
