About four years ago I built my own computer. I have a Corsair 300R case and from the get-go I used the stock fans that came preinstalled. About a year in one started to make a grinding noise and I replaced it with one of the Pure Wings 2 fans, and was left impressed right away with how easy it was to install the new fan as well as the low noise level they had at max RPM. The second time and more recently my front chassis fan was making a loud grinding noise as well (which may have definitely been the bearings going out) so I went with a brand I knew and bought another one of these fans. This time around it was just as easy although the screws were too big so I had to reuse the screws from the stock fan. Again, quiet again as always.I would very much recommend going with these fans if you want a middle-ground between quiet and affordable. Three years later with one of these fans and have had no problems, so hopefully the one I have just purchased and installed will also be the same. My only complaint is the pricing of these fans on Amazon, whereas other outlets offer them cheaper - except consider the fact Amazon would be the only place to get faster shipping.

It follows it's own admonition and stays nice and quiet, despite being on full most of the time. Moves a nice quantity of air. This brand had a good reputation, and definitely looks to deserve it.

These things are incredible. They are significantly quieter than both the Cooler Master JetFlo 120's they replaced (those things are disgustingly loud but move an incredible amount of air) and the Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition fans I have installed elsewhere in the case. With the JetFlo fans, my machine under loud was noticeably loud, even from the next room if I left the door open. Now I have to put my ear up to the front of the case to hear these fans, and even then, I hear the Corsair fans more. This is not at idle...this is running a Prime95 stress test. And temps on my OC'ed CPU still stayed under 65 degrees.I should have bought these years ago. I'm trying to resist the temptation to buy 3 more to replace my other fans. I also have the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 in my system, and be quiet! has made a believer out of me.Don't knock them because they are the least expensive be quiet! line. They still represent the brand exceptionally well.

I'm giving it a 4-star rating because the fan itself is excellent in terms of performance and quiet operation. It efficiently cools my system, and the black color is sleek and matches my setup perfectly.However, I was disappointed to find that the bolts needed for installation were not included in the package or were missing. This made the installation process a bit frustrating, as I had to source the bolts separately.Once I had the necessary bolts, the fan worked like a charm, hence the four stars. If it had come with the complete installation package, it would easily be a 5-star product.

I purchased this to install in a case I had made to hide a network switch that was installed in an office area where it was desired to not have a network switch and all the cables visible. The switch needed cooling and I needed a very quiet solution. I mounted this in the cabinet, wired it up to run, and it is so quiet you can't hear it at all. These Be Quiet! fans are awesome.

I had ordered two Pure Wings 2 fans to add to my workstation PC that I was building within a 'be quiet! Pure Base 500DX' case that already had three of these fans. I am truly amazed at how silent these fans are as I had a certain expectation of some noise coming from my computer, but you honestly wouldn't even know they were on if you didn't see them. I highly recommend using these fans not only because of how quiet they are, but they out-perform any other fan I've come across. It is also an incredibly big plus, that these are so affordable.

Just built a new rig - Chassis (bequiet 801)It has 10 fans, not counting the ones in the 2080 video card - standard exhaust at the back of the chassis, 3 in front, three up top, one at the bottom with the PSU, and 2 built into the NH-D15. the MB is the ROG Maximus XI HERO and the CPU is i9 9900K.Anyway, with all the fans running at power up - you hear almost absolutely nothing. Sure, I expect some sound when the graphics work hard, but I did run BF5 for about 15 minutes at the highest video settings and I still didn't hear anything. I love these fans!

Used as a ventilation fan while sleeping. It was so quiet I didn’t even know it was on. Moved a lot of air as well.

Reasonably quiet and good performance

J’ai acheté plusieurs ventilateurs Be Quiet BL047 pour refroidir un meuble dédié aux consoles de jeux. A départ, il s’agissait d’un meuble Ikea dans lequel j’ai fait des ouvertures à la scie sauteuse et à la scie cloche. C’était en 2015. J’ai installé 4 ventilateurs Be Quiet dans le meuble : deux en parties haute et deux en partie basse. Le principe est le suivant : un ventilateur injecte de l’air frais tandis que l’autre expulse l’air chaud qui sort de la console du haut. En bas du meuble, même principe.En 6 ans, mes ventilateurs Be Quiet n’ont jamais flanché. Ils sont aujourd’hui alimentés via les ports USB de ma PS5 et de ma Xbox Series X (via des adaptateurs), et refroidissent toujours aussi bien. J’en ai récemment acheté un en plus dans le cadre d’une promotion Amazon (9€/unité).En conclusion, c’est un excellent ventilateur, silencieux et efficace. Un must-have !Climaxe

Son unos excelentes fans, son de buen tamaño y discretos, el diseño es agradable y realmente si son silenciosos, personalmente logré bajar 5 grados solo por poner estos ventiladores para ingresar aire a mi gabinete.La única pega que le encuentro es que no tienen orificios con goma anti vibración y si bien al 100% hacen apenas ruido si vibran bastante.Por el precio bastante bien.

For clarity, I purchased the 3pin 120mm 1000rpm BL047 version of this fan (NOT the 4pin PWM version).I purchased these to replace some Corsair fans that came with my AIO (280mm radiator H115i)The Corsair ones sounded like someone had a vacuum cleaner on.These ones on the other hand are quiet as anything (same speed as the Corsair ones were used at).I can say that these are less airflow than the supplied Corsair ones, BUT they do keep my temperatures at around 50 degrees when stress testing the CPU (the same as the previous Corsair ones). Also worthy of note is that they are not being used at the full 12V by me (as the Corsair ones weren't either). So if they can keep my temperatures down with that in mind, they should have no difficulty at 'normal' speed.Would I buy them again? YesWould I recommend them? YesAre they quiet? Yes they are - I can barely hear them with the PC sat next to me in a Lian Li Dynamic case (beautiful case BTW!).Which way around do I fit them? The logo side should be on the intake side (air in) and the tech details side is air out or exhaust.How quiet are they? At the speed I'm running them at, I could hear a fly fart! At full speed I would imagine they'll still be fairly quiet.I can only suggest that the people who say these are not as effective (air flow wise) as they imagined they should be, have either fitted them incorrectly (the wrong way around may be?) or are expecting something like a 12 inch fan for airflow from these. Also bear in mind, these rotate at half the speed of most 120mm fans.I have no idea how long these will last, but a 3 year warranty gives me some confidence in the product.
